Hm, I was in English class my sophomore year in 2013 when a friend of mine asked me if I listened to music. I only ever really listened to what my parents played, didn’t really know exactly what I liked or even how to do that. He showed me the cover of Melophobia on his 3rd gen cracked iPod touch and asked me if I had heard of it before. I shook my head and he gave me his headphones and I pod and put Cigarette Daydreams on and just told me to press play. It might be hyperbolic but, my eyes dilated, my arms got bumpy and I felt this body sensation then I started to cry just a little bit. I didn’t realize music wasn’t just noise but could make you feel something, put you somewhere. Such a good time, I listened to it everyday on the way to get my high school sweetheart before school, and everyday on the way home. I miss her and I miss those feelings.
