A another brilliant tutorial from the web guru Nayyar regarding shipping. One thing I will mention is that using linear algebra can be used to create a formula if your pricing is "banded" (which a lot of postal services do) and you need to account for the packaging. Note: this only works if you have a linear relationship between the price and the quantity e.g. 1 product => 120 rupees 2 products => 150 rupees 3 products => 180 rupees Using y=mx+c y = price m = gradient x = qty value c = y-intercept Thus the above would be: 120 = m1 + c 150 = m2 + c 180 = m3 + c To solve for m (we'll use the last example from above): (gradient): {difference in y-values} / {difference in x values} m = (180 - 120) / (3 -1) => (60/2) = 30 Thus 180 = (30*3) + c => 180 = 90 + c So now solve for c: 180 - 90 = c c = 90 So the final linear algebra formula is: y = 30x + 90 Which would translate into the WooCommerce equation: 30 * [qty] + 90 Nayyar, perhaps it would be best if you demo'ed this in one of your videos ;-)

Thanks for your video! Example shipping cost for 3000gr is $15 and every 500gr after that cost $2. So shipping cost for 3001gr to 3500gr is $17. Shipping cost for 3501gr to 4000gr is $19. And so on. How to setup like that with flexible shipping plugin?

Hello Nice video!! question....I have shipping (local deliveries) methods by zip codes in the USA, however now i want to sell specific products nationwide without conflicting my local deliveries by zip codes....for example i sale X product with a local delivery address for $18 but somebody else wants to ship it out state the flat will be $25..now a created the shipping method nationwide for the X products and it only shows the nationwide rate even if you input a local zip code that suppose to be cheaper. thanks

Hello Nayyar Such a great video, you cover maximum to a maximum point. But I need to know quantity codes like "10 * [10]" and timing 3:46. 10 + ( 2 * [ qty ] ) = 12 rupees 10 + ( 2 * [ qty ] ) = 24 rupees Quantity "Suppose a Customer orders 1 or 2 quantities and the price is fixed or free. But if the customer orders more than 3 quantities. At that point, I need to add extra charges per quantity like 5 rupees per product. What code do I use? 1 product cost 10 rupees. 2 products cost 10 rupees. 3 products cost 15 rupees. I need to know this. 4 products cost 20 rupees. I need to know this

Hello, Great tutorial, thanks. I have watched a lot of videos (including this one) explaining about using shipping options in woocommerce but I could not find an answer to my problem. I have built an online shop selling different goods. I ship to 5 countries, 2 of those countries I ship for free and the other 3 countries I charge a flat rate. I have set 2-3 shipping class options based on specific product types. In the 'Flat rate Settings' I have chosen the 'Per Class' option for the 'Calculation Type'. When I run a test and pick two products each with different shipping class, the cart shows only the more expensive shipping rate. What could be wrong ? Also, I have a product that I give for free and the customer needs to pay only for the shipping (free+shipping), If a customer chose this product with one or more other products and he lives in one of the 3 countries where I charge a shipping fee, the shipping fee for the free product is not added to the total shipping flat rate. Thanks a lot, appreciate your help Aiman P.S. There is a different problem beside the above one. When I run the test when I'm logged out of my store, and test it as a buyer, no shipping rates appear in the cart.

Hi, This was excellent, I have two issues (Issue no 1)is there any ways where I can restrict shipping areas only for few of selected products, Like TV, Washing machines to be ship maximum 10km and other products like cloths, shoes, stationary etc low in weight i.e. below 1kg can be ship anywhere. and (Issue no 2) can we have automated GST selection based on sore and customer location (For example I have two shops one in Maharashtra and other in Gujarat, suppose I have a product which is there in Gujarat store and order comes from Maharashtra then I want to collect IGST for this order. now if I have same product available in maharashtra too post few days and new order comes from Maharashtra so now I will supply from Maharashtra store and collect SGST and CGST. Actually, I made a website that will sale my products of different categories like shoes, clothes, home appliances, electronics products etc in USA, China, Pakistan and India. Hello, very intuitive video I learnt a lot but I have a request. How can I use Additional Product Fee at Checkout based on products or Product Category. Eg: If a customer chooses a BAG on the shop page based on the Product Category (BAG) the conditional logic will calculate the Additional Fee for that category.
