Question: wouldn't hitting off a tee be the most effective way to test a bat? There's the element to getting better pitches to hit for certain rounds vs. hitting off a controlled method like a tee. Would be cool to see the BB's try. Definitely can't hit the ball as far off a tee, but might be cool to test method.. 😁

Hitting off a tee to test a bat unfortunately eliminates the key factors of swing weight, sweet spot, and timing.

Yes you are right!! I've been hitting off a tee lately using old Easton bats- black magic 32" 29 oz. and Easton EA70 big barrel 33" 29 oz. I'm at highschool field with 300' fences 350' to center. Been fun to see which bat can perform better (that and I have no one to pitch to me lol). So far the EA70 has performed better with the most distance and more HRs short hopping center at 350' as the farthest. Anyway you guys are fun to watch and inspire me to get out there and hit again 👍. I'm 46😂😂

@@baseballbatbros wont you still be able to feel the swing weight and sweet spot while hitting off the tee though? Like compared to other bats you swing you'll know how heavy or light and how well the ball goes in the cages from where you hit it on the barrel, cuz you'll still definitely not hit some balls on the perfect barrel while hitting on the tee

@@jacobwilhide1189 I think the main thing from hitting live pitching is the timing and swing weight aspect, not so much sweet spot. I do think hitting off a tee does eliminate the chance of getting better pitches from one at bat to the next but what do I know? Still have to hit the ball at that perfect launch angle for HRs regardless of tee or live pitching. 💪

I know I’m a little late to the party. But picking the Lindy Marucci based on exit velocity didn’t make sense. First, none of the bats that advanced were judged that way. Second, when you reviewed the four Victus bats, you chose the V243 over the Tatis23. I know you said you wanted something comparable to the Lindy but I’m not sure that was fair. I get wanting to have Marucci representation but I think the V243 makes it to the final four and gives the TS28 a run for it’s money. Maybe there should be a consolation bracket that includes the Victus V243.
