Wood Block Anvil Stand Build - Rustic Industrial Style

After I cut a piece of oak tree trunk to the right height so I dont have to bend over to work, I cut in a 1" recess and set the Mousehole anvil down in the recess. No chains, straps or bent nails needed to hold the anvil in place.

I don't want to be critical but you could easily clamp that together and it also could be glued with construction adhesive. I run into the tree timmers in my city and they gave me a big stump. Takes two people to move.

Depending if that wood is completely dry, it will shrink and need re-tightened again in a couple months. Are you on IG? Also, ratchet straps make it really easy to clamp that wood together if you do need to adjust it in the future.

If you want it even quieter put some sylicon un der the anvil. It will kill all ringing
