Hi Brenda. Fantastic your work, pyrography is truly a particular art, and it is probably much more difficult than it appears. I noted you have a particolar ability to realize the texture of the animal furs. I find you lost weight in this video. An happy and bright new year for you and your loved ones !!!!

Hi Riccardo, thank you so much for the kind words! I really like to do artwork featuring animals, so I spend considerable amount of time working on fur. I find people portraits very difficult to do, so that's another reason that your artwork is so amazing. Yes, I've lost some weight. The tutorial videos I record the intro as I get them done, so they are current images. In the time lapse videos I records lots of them in one weekend, and then schedule out when they go live. This way I use KZbin as my video storage. :) Happy New Year to you too! I wish that the new year will be filled with much happiness, health, and success!

Hi Brenda. I do love your artwork and your videos. This video came at the perfect time for me. I am trying to fill in a very dark brown background around longish whispy dog fur and am having a hard time with it. The fur is not coming out whispy as I would like. If you have any ideas or advice that would help me, feel free :). I can use all the help I can get. Those light coloured whispy hairs and dark background seem to be more difficult than I expected. I can see it in my mind how it should look, but my hand doesn't agree LOL. That would be a great video for you to do and I'm sure would help a lot of us newbies! You have not only created a beautiful piece of art, but you have also captured this little guys cutness! Brilliant!

Hi Wendy, I'm going to be honest with you and tell you that I found the wispy hairs on the raccoon difficult to do. The wispy hairs did not turn out as I had envisioned, but it was the best I could at my current skill level. I spent many, many hours reburning and fine tuning the hairs. Plus I took lots of breaks from the hairs as they were frustrating as most challenging things are. I don't know if you've tried drawing the hairs with a white charcoal and then burning around the hairs. I've used that method a number of times and it helps set the shape of the area. I demonstrated this method in the squirrel tail video I did a while back. Here's a link to that video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rGfKq3x9otmDa5Y Good luck with your project!

Hi Traci, Thank you for the wonderful comment. I do not. Hubby keeps telling me I should write a book, but I can't figure out what the subject should be. Maybe one day I'll figure it out. Thanks again for the comment!

Hi Calin, I can't. For one thing I don't know. Also there are too many factors that influence the heat setting. I wrote a community post about it. Post #145 Here's a link: kzbin.infoUgzkHVl6Z_oCR-jwgp94AaABCQ
