Could you please tell me what's your pen mark? Thank you 🙏🏻
@PyrographyMadeEasy3 күн бұрын
I'm not 100% sure what you are asking. I'll provide two answers and hope that provides you with the information you need. 1. I'm using a writer pen tip. This is a standard writer that every wood burning pen set I've ever see has. 2. The writer pen I'm using is made by Colwood. The tip is their C writer pen tip. There is a link in the video description to Colwood's website.

Hi Marian, First off, let me welcome you to the exciting artform called pyrography! I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do. Give yourself time. What I do isn't magic. It's something anyone can do given enough time burning. Lord knows I didn't start out at this level. Instead, by the time I did this artwork, I had over 1200 hours of burn time. You know, I can't pinpoint what it was about the artwork that I didn't care for. I was disappointed before I added color, and really disappointed after I added color. Thank you for watching, and taking the time to leave a nice comment!

Had the manufacturer bend the pen tip for me. Tried it, and did not like it.🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
@PyrographyMadeEasy7 күн бұрын
I had the same experience. It was with a Colwood pen, and I really hated where and how they bent it. If that wasn't bad enough, I felt that they charged way too much for such a simple task.

How thick or how many oz should the leather be for good pyrography?
@PyrographyMadeEasy11 күн бұрын
Hi, Great question, and one you won't like my answer. It depends on what you plan to do with the leather. Weaver Leather Supply is a channel that knows more about leather than I will ever know in my lifetime. Here's a link to a video on leather weights: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jWi1ZZ-La7Wcotk About the only thing I can tell you is that you can burn on any weight of leather. Thicker or heavier leather allows you to burn deeper. I've seen some pyrography on leather that almost looks like it was created using leather stamps.

Hi Barbara, Welcome to the wonderful artform called pyrography! I hope that you'll love it as much as I do. Depending on the type of burner you own, the manufacturer may not make one. I make my own. I have a video the goes over this. Here's a link to the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qIu0nId-pMeEhs0 The video is broken up into chapters, so it will be easy to find the chapter on bending tips.

Thank you for sharing this information. I have used polyurethane in the past and I'm seeing how it colors over time. I'm currently working on a big piece and would like to seal it with something different but I have been unsure what to use. After watching your tutorial, I believe I will try the polycrylic with the matte finish.
@PyrographyMadeEasyАй бұрын
Hi Marcus, I've been very pleasantly surprised at how well the polycrylic finish has performed and aged. It is now my favorite finish to use. My only complaint is that it feels like plastic, but that's a pretty minor complaint. :) Thank you for watching and leaving a nice comment!

Hi Brenda. Thank you for your time in doing this video. I've done alot of watercolor painting but always on 100%cotton paper. I love how the watercolor spreads. I've never used the watercolor grounds. Was wondering if you could just wet the board with water just like the paper and then drop the watercolor in and allow it to naturally spread and mix. I saw were you applied the paint directly to the board and it absorbed like a stain but wondering if water were applied first if it would keep the paint from immediately staining the wood. Looking forward to experimenting with this. I hate all the the extra process and cost with adding the grounds. Again thank you for your time Jill C. Huachuca Arizona

Hi Jill, great question / idea. One, I must admit, that I had not thought of. After I finish my outdoor yard projects, I'll see about testing this out. I will either make a shorts video or write a community post on my findings. Who knows, I might even do both. :)
