Whittling a snowdrop flower pendant inspired by their abundance in one of my favorite places close to home. As always, hand tools only ;)

With the arrival of Spring, my thoughts get brighter and my ideas start to bloom, as do plants after a grey and cold winter. As always when I feel stuck and have a creative block, there is no better place to look on than nature. I get my self in long walks through the woodlands, walk off the track, spot all the different wild animals, smell the pines, climb a tree... and most likely I feel clarity once again. It is a beautiful circle that repeats, I'm grateful for the moments of stillness in my mind as well.

I came across one of your videos yesterday and have now subscribed. I just started wood carving - I'm finishing up a small spoon I've been carving out of walnut for my sugar jar - and your patience and skill with your knife to carve small pieces like this is inspiring. I can tell you have a genuine appreciation for nature too. As an entomology enthusiast, I enjoyed your cicada carving video as well :)

Hi! I wish there would be a magic trick, but I just use the knife for the empty spaces, slowly ;)
