I am a professional potter from Saga, Japan.
My specialty is Karatsu style "Mishima" technique.
Today, I will introduce the four-day process from loading the climbing kiln to unloading it.

薪窯焼成は最高だ。ここドイツでも、日本のモデルに基づいて自分の窯を作り、それで最も美しい陶器を焼く優れた陶芸家がいる。 ディープルがこれを正しく訳してくれることを祈るよ!

@@WatajimaPottery 日本の窯は、ここでは特に評判がいいんだ。 日本でもドイツでも、陶芸はとても長い伝統があります。しかし残念ながら、ここの陶芸家は日本で聞くような名誉を持たれていませんBlechschmidt、Iris Schöneなど......ここにMarc Lancetと日下部正和による薪窯焼成の本があります、いくつかの建設計画が含まれており、すべてが非常に詳細で、複製するのに適しています。 ドイツの大工さんたちは日本の大工仕事にも熱心で、ドイツのハーフティンバーハウスは日本でも人気があります!

@@WatajimaPottery Thank you. I understand that process. My question is about whether you blow salt into the kiln while it's firing to add the salt glaze effect? The walls of the kiln look as though they have been exposed to salt in the past.

The shiny surface on the kiln wall isn't from salt but from wood ash that stuck and melted in the high heat.
