Very nice, I was just looking at another million plus custom home and noticed that the wood garage doors were just a veneer. I liked the look and less weight. For your job I especially liked the fact that it looks like a roll up sectional type door instead of having the large panel breaks. well done..

How has this door held up over time? Any warping? Or other complications?

I want to do something similar, but want to do vertically oriented paneling on the same type of 4-segment overhead door. Have you guys done that before? If so, are there any tricks to making the seams between door sections as tight and unobtrusive as possible when the door is closed, so that the vertical planks appear to be full height continuous planks?

I’d encourage you to start using steel over steel blown polyurethane insulated doors paired with high speed screw drive operators. If you’re clients are willing to pay to side it. They probably want the best strongest most durable Door along with fast and silent operation. Liftmaster operators may prolific but they are loud and clunky

I am looking to do something similar where I am going to clad a door and I am curious why it matters to use an uninsulated door if you are screwing it from the front?

I’ve been building wood garage doors for 24 years, and I don’t recommend adding wood to a metal door due to expansion and contraction through the seasons. Especially to a non insulated door that has very little stability. Non insulated doors now a days usually only last 10-15 years cause they are built with 24 gauge and start to bend and crease in the middle. Id like to know how that door is holding up today? If it’s facing any where but north and painted black, it can be good. I hope I’m wrong
