Wood turning: Cedar/ Slate Cigar Ashtray

I made a resin and wood ashtray a while ago and wanted to do a different design that would hold more ashes. This is my take on a design I have seen a lot of people do lately and thought I would share it. Let me know what you think and as always, thanks for watching!!

Hi Mike... that is a really nice ash tray... the wood is beautiful and the addition of the slate is a great idea... I was thinking of doing a bowl incorporating slate... could be fun... while I was watching...in the background I thought that I saw a picture of my clock until I remembered that we both did the same thing... Very NIce! I'm really liking the PolyAcrylic gloss and shine. I assume it provides a "shell" of protection? This is a very fun project to make and they don't hang around long. Sell very well. Great job Mike. Good luck with "Water", look fwd to it!
