👍 beginning and ending with the same number of fingers is always a good thing too! Cool video.

Ha. Absolutely. It was harder than I thought it would be.

@@FridayWorkshop route some numbers into those things and I’m sure you would have no problem selling them to the RPG people.

Whoa…amazing job demonstrating this project! When I first heard 21 degrees, I had no idea how you were going to do it while supporting subsequent cuts. You made it looks so easy!! Really an impressive job.

Thanks. Yeah all of the subsequent cuts had a flat side on the bottom. It was actually much easier to do than I thought it would be.

that was incredible. You don't see many firsts on the Internet. But that was the 1st time I've seen that on the Internet great work. I. I really liked at 3 minutes and 5 seconds you could see the wheels in the master craftsman head turning

Glad you liked it. It took a while to wrap my head around it.

Why not use a fence to help get straigher cuts?
@FridayWorkshop10 ай бұрын
That’s not a bad idea but I’ve done so much art by hand on the bandsaw over the years that I tend to free hand things. You should check out the haggerman horse video we did cutting out a horse 🐴 on the bandsaw.

@@FridayWorkshop Thanks for the reply! I'm super new to wood working and have been interested in making a icosahedron ever since I started playing BG3 lol I think I'll go the fening route but that's awesome that you've got the skill to make a damn good one free hand! Thanks for the great content!!

Nice! Very neat project. I wonder if the old bandsaw trick of taping the cutoff back on to support the next cut would have been any use?
@FridayWorkshop2 жыл бұрын
Only those last two sides (four cuts) need to be supported on the initial pass. Everything else has a flat side down. It’s actually easier to do than I thought it would be. You just have to be super accurate as a little off and it will make a big difference on subsequent cuts.
