No big ego, no complicated terms just simple explanations, no massive lists of unfamiliar tools. Just a modest man setting explaining something I would have previously thought to be well beyond my skill sets. He has shown me if I was physically capable I could do this, I think I'll see if my teenage grandsons want to build it with me for their fishing. Cooper has a fantastic role model.

THANK YOU SAM DEVLIN!!! Currently building my 'first' stitch and glue 997cm (almost 10 feet) flat-bottom skiff with wide stern and up-angled narrow dory bow here in Kumamoto, Japan. It will be powered with a 2HP Tohatsu outboard. May put a removable front mast for small sail rig in future. No plans, just using what I learned from watching Sam Devlin's Polliwog video, so inspiring!!! Using 1/2" plywood (not marine grade) but it's already very sturdy (with wood powder and epoxy welds) and looking great. Should be a tank once coated with epoxy and glass. The hull is very light and will have wheels that can be lowered for easy one-man boat launching from my truck bed. Will put storage compartment forward for gear and battery possibly (I'll see how it sits and balance it with load distribution later). Have been working on it for one week and it has been a blast. I want to build another after this one. Sam's larger boats are beautiful and thank you for sharing this feature.

Thanks, I needed that! I'll be building a boat over the next couple years and I've had some lingering questions that you answered verry well. Though my boat will be built using an inner framework and it'll be powered with an outboard, the process will be surprisingly similar in all other respects. It really helped to see someone doing the proceedures as opposed to just reading about them in a book and looking at pictures. I'm now looking forward to it instead of being aprehensive about it.

Thank you for creating one of the best boat building if not one of the best DIY videos I've ever had the pleasure of watching. Unlike too many videos on KZbin yours was presented at the right speed, had all of the information required to do the job, and most of all your voice wasn't like listening to fingernails on a chalkboard; some people have terrible voices and don't know it. I'm looking forward to watching all of your videos and hopefully attempting one of your projects.

All I could find were the lofting #'s and a bunch of lines with station #'s and at the time I sorta knew some lofting but not enough..
