If you are in Switzerland, you should visit the Erlebniswelt (Experience world) in Lichtensteig in the Toggenburg region. At the moment they have an exhibition of wooden trains and machines.

I remember those tickets by me, where the station operator would pull down a massive lever arm, moving horizontally for departure station, and then the vertical showing the destination, along with a trip validity saying number of days it was valid, and then press a worn shiny brass button, and it would mechanically print a ticket on a cardboard ticket, which you them presented to the conductor. They would punch it with a punch with a pattern, showing which person had done it, and then if checked you got another different hole punched in it. Punches changed daily, so the previous day ticket, which was valid for 7 days, would not be usable either if single use, or would simply get up to 14 holes punched into it.

Thank you for the tour! The time spent creating all of those things must be in millions of hours.

That's some very impressive modelmaking. I was especially surprised to see models of Canadian locomotives so far from their home.
