Woodford Reserve Double Oak vs Old Forester 1910/ Blind Fight Friday

Met my cousin down at family reunion... He brought Woodford Reserve D/O and I brought Old Forester 1910. Both were a different sip, but they were great..... I had yet to taste either one until then..... No Regrets at all... Will always have both in my bar at home for a Special Sip with friends and family.

When you made the comment about that extra little sparkle, I thought for sure it was the 1910 you were talking about. The Woodford is very nice, but the OF just has that extra little oomph across the mid palate into the finish that does it for me.

It did have a little more oomf… but the Woodford just seemed all around a better drinker that day…..

Both are flavor bombs good review enjoy both refer to them desert bourbon great tasting all around

I agree… and if you would have asked me before the fight I would have gave the nod to old forester…. I was actually shocked at the results…..

Had Old Forester 1910 for the first time last night, I’ve only had the 1920 (which I love), and the 1910 I thought was very good.

It is very very good… and if you would have asked me before the head to head I would have said it was going to easily win… I love all the old foresters that we have tried… but that Woodford double oak is a beast….
