The recipe for "Graham Cracker Sandwich" goes back to the 1920's and was popular with Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. In 1927 the recipe was called "Some More" and published in "Tramping and Trailing with the Girl Scouts". In 1938 it was contracted to "S'Mores", and that's what they've been called ever since. -- I prefer my marshmallows a bit more well done. Either nicely browned, or even caught on fire and blackened.

Hi again B ...a suggetion..On top of your fire stick use a wheel bearing race ....easy to hold and the fire stick rotates so very easily as there is almost no friction except in the hearth where it needs to be..by using a T bar on top of the fire stick you have friction top and bottom... Get one from your local auto supply shop .

Just my opinion, but the last thing I'd do is take my shoe off, in fact I've seen bushcrafters have gotten the side of their shoe right up against the spindle for extra support at the beginning. I wonder if the bowstring shouldn't be loose to cut down on the friction (as long as it's not slipping on the spindle). Lilly has a funny vid where she thinks birch is a good wood to use. After multiple tries, she says "this wood sucks!" and throws it away.XD Google says wood with too much resin is no good, it cools the ember, so not pine or birch. Good wood is cedar, cottonwood, basswood, aspen (poplar) and some others. That was a nice relaxing vid, thanks. :)

i admire your ability to wear shorts camping, and not get bitten by everything in a 2km radius. Maybe its Australia in general, but i seem to be attacked by ants, spiders and mosquitos to no avail unless wearing long pants and a long sleeve shirt. heck, i cant even do 20 mins gardening without being bitten by four green ants and a bee.

Enjoyed the video. Camping in the summer heat makes everything harder. It's gets up around 100 degrees almost everyday in Texas during the summer. About your bow drill fire keep working on it. Put a piece of birch bark under your hearth board to catch the ember. Your bow and spindle look a little to short. Especially the spindle. With a longer spindle you don't have to bend over so far to apply pressure. Much more comfortable and efficient. Also #36 bank line works better than para cord. Don't give up you'll get it. God Bless.

i saw a bow drill the one i saw a guy used a hot ember from bow drill board into a bird nest like old man beard or light grass as a starter put ember in that and he blew on it and then the fire started! the board & the drill part has to be made of a type of wood to get the heat and ember right too! i use a flint striker and cotton balls and Vaseline mix and fat wood!

Great Video Becks. Your working to hard on cutting your wood. The saw your using is more for carpentry and not the outdoors. Get a saw that has less teeth per inch, on the blade, like a gardening saw. It'll be a lot less effort and you'll save on water.

Louise seems out of sorts here. You seem same as always Becky. And Buster just taking it all in stride lol. I like seeing you out together. And like seeing a bit about what British girls are about. What happened to the traditional British tea time? I guess I should check out the knackermans channel too and see what he's about. love from America.

Yet another lovely video from you. Looking foreward to see your future adventures you two have planned. So, Buster did not notice and go after that mouse? I have never tried bowdrilling so I don't have a clue, but Survival Lilly is using the bow in a more forth and back motion rather than side to side, cause the arms are stronger that way. Maybe that would help with the bowdrilling?
