These videos have been great! I think it would be interesting to also expand into diplomacy strategies as well. The mechanical puzzles make a lot of sense, but so much of the game is table talk, so a lot of these puzzles leave me wondering "how do I convince others I'm not a threat if I have a base out on turn 2"?

This is a great observation! I Think a dedicated WA player should be going for a base on turn 2, if for no other reason than the card draw. It's not the biggest threat by itself (unless it's in Texas, then *that's* fairly provocative I would say). The best way I've found to survive is to do 2 things: 1) be as unappetizing a target as possible. Stack 2 or 3 warriors on your base. keep a card in your hand. Make your opponents worry about ambushes, make them decide to apply pressure elsewhere. This will slightly slow down your point gain for turns 2, 3 and 4, but it will make you ready to explode later on. 2) Make it known that you're willing to help keep the table balanced. Is the Eyrie too strong? Make them walk into your sympathy so they can't hold onto cards for the decree (Or perhaps avoid spreading to help turmoil the Despot). Are the Cats getting too dominant? Spread to their key clearings and send a dude to guard the sympathy. Is the Vagabond going unhindered? Slap him if he's in your area, even if it costs you an action. Little things will keep the table on your side, so you can have the freedom to score massively later on when it counts.

Why not Texas through Florida on puzzle four? Its in Texas and gets the strong Florida

I think this is totally viable! Sticking a sympathy token on Texas is a provocation, so it's likely that it would be prioritized over the corner. So, Florida would be a strong candidate for a base, and I think it would be well placed for the opening. I could have given more weight to the Commander leader of the Eyrie, since that guy was made for busting WA bases.

Puzzle B: middle fox, bottom fox, bottom left corner rabbit. This gets you a decent chance of starting in texas, but if not you can just try to spread there from the rabbit clearing since once that vagabond leaves its unlikely to be that contested.

Puzzle A: leftmost mouse, centre fox, centre rabbit. The cats have to spend actions removing your sympathy in fox and mouse, leaving the rabbit untouched

I'm hoping to do a Cats series next month! First on my list is presenting full games with analysis (the first of which should be released next week!).
