Sweet Peas were my Grandma's favorite flowers. Her philosophy was that flowers were meant to be shared. Sweet memories of a very special person to me. Your seed packets are so cute...Love them to bits! Just like my Grandma lovingly sharing her flowers, you and Luise passionately believe in sharing your love for your art and also share your beautiful hearts. Lucky, lucky me! Grateful from the bottom of my heart.

Super! The seed pack reminds me of those my Grandfather had for his huge multi-family garden on our farm. His Father, he and his Brothers carved the farm from sagebrush in 1898-1903. Their family came to the states in the 1700's from Sonnenberg. I will try to use a package and include it in a JJ I am making for my Grandaughter. tfs ❤

Today's challenge is wonderful for me because it combines two of my favourite themes, woodland and garden. I think that what makes this so appealing is that you can have fun using mixed media to create great ephemera to use and it encourages us to think more openly. You end up with more variety within your journals.

Barbara, I've bee so very pleased with the fact that you've made it possible for everyone to play along even if they don't have every item that might be needed for that day's prompt. It is so kind of you to share some alternatives that most of us have on hand (like the book pages instead of the seed packets). I am grateful for this because so far I've been able to do each of the days without spending any money!

Those are absolutely beautiful and so cute! Little recommendation for the future: when you have so old and soaky book pages, put some clear or white gesso first before you add the oxide inks. That way the effect with the water will come out much more like you had planned it ❤️

You are so good at making unrelated things look like they belong together! Last year, I had all kinds of seed packs from my son's garden but just tore them open and threw them out after planting. I do have ones still with seeds. I may copy a couple and then make the packets; so, thanks for showing how! I like the book page base. Maybe I'll try copying it onto a book page instead of copy paper.
