I bought the plain macro in late 60`s when it came out. I think it was a preset. Pics were fantastic. I was used as an enlarging lens where is was excellent, up with the best lenses of the time. Very good for large prints when most were only good for smaller prints. Best with a glass carrier because the lens has a flat field.

@@haydenobryanphotography When I wrote this memory was old, around 60 years back. I think now I had both the preset and auto plus the 100 2.8 macro. Optics were the same , but auto version only went to half life size.
