Hi if you pay by EZ-Link you should tap every time. If you pay by cash, ask the bus captain, I never pay cash 😀

Very helpful video to reach larkin. If we dont board same bus after SG checkpoint to JB does it impact the fare or no? As from woodlands i will be taking 950 so after sg checkpoint i take bus 160 and afterJb checkipoint i take bus 170 to larkin . Will ezlink card take everytime new fare on these 3 buses or altogether one fare for travel from woodlands to larkin?

won't taking 170 from singapore to Larkin be cheaper since the entire trip from your point of jumping on to the mrt and getting off Larkin be treated as one trip and there is a max fare cap? just wondering.

Trip to Larkin consider as one trip. The max fare is $2.26 for journey over 40.2km

Hi.. In short, yes it is the same bus 170 which departs from queen street. But after you arrive at woodlands checkpoint you can take any Singapore bus (if you prefer) to go to jb checkpoint. At jb checkpoint going to Larkin you can take bus SBS 170 or causeway bus CWL

Do I tap the ez-link card only when I first get on the bus at Queen Street Bus Terminal, and then tap the ez-link card again when I arrive at Larkin.

Hi @erikliza_ For Singapore bus, you have to tap every time you board the bus. Most likely you will change bus after woodlands checkpoint and it doesn’t matter. You still need to tap. For causeway bus I’m not sure. Usually I pay cash. Sorry for late reply. I watched your videos as well. Nice adventures lol
