Millions around the world have already watched his TV programmes and bought all his books, his knowledge has been well shared with the people of this world, its a shame other people of this planet seem intent on destroying it for the sake of money though.

Neanderthal Outdoors KZbin is free and also an excellent advertisement for his books, tv shows and personal training courses along with an great stream of income if it’s done well and frequently, frequency being the most important of those 2, a handful of 2-4min videos each year isn’t enough though.

No one ☝️ will ever replace or match him he is one of a kind!!!! Not only in bushcraft he is an artist and a master at his art second to none !! He’s a legend now and forever his voice alone puts people in a trance. Even I play his videos every night before I go to sleep 😴 there’s no one man like this..thanks to this man I feel confident I can go to any part of world and survive off of his bushcraft. I’m sorry but this man has done bushcraft from brutal jungles deserts and mountains snow heat rainstorms with all do respect to others posting there’s on you tube this man has traveled the world doing this his intire life.. but there is a couple who has my heart they are wonderful the man is jake mace I’ve learned a lot in martial arts and peace. Him and his wife are great they are now living off grid👍

As a long-time proponent and advocate of responsible, low-impact, recreational camping on Crown land here in Canada, I absolutely love the conservationist message towards the end of this video. It perfectly expresses what I think is our best hope for presevering wilderness. Thank you, - Martin

Hey Ray! I regularly snowshoe or ski into lakes here in Canada to do just what you teach. As a forester/geologist/woodsman, that's how I live. But in this increasingly urbanized world, people are needed to teach such things, so kudos to ya' there Bud. Another aspect of outdoor life is making your own gear (snowshoes, skis, knives, packs etc) and a man can develop a real appreciation of nature by making his own gear. Of course, if it fails, you can't point fingers at anyone else. I know you make stuff, and as a way of self-reliance, perhaps there should be some sort of contest, or comparison for bragging rights, as your students display their home made gear. Birch bark what-nots (boxes, match safes, knife sheaths etc), rawhide thingys (snowshoes, laced chairs, moccasin soles etc), canoe paddles, canoes, ash pack baskets, and the list could go on forever. Discourage the use of plastic. Encourage the use of canvas and leather! I have sometimes looked at the contents of a man's pack to determine how good a woodsman he is, surreptitiously of course. To really impress me, I need to see stuff he made himself in there. There's a video in there of some sort, as folks display their Kuksas and home built stuff, at the Ray Mears International Home made Bush Gear Annual Extravaganza, and being Canadian, I have to strongly suggest that beer be involved. And maple syrup. Funny how a wonky pair of snowshoes can look better when beer is applied...and maple syrup just generally improves life all round. Incidentally, on my last ice fishing trip I caught an 18" lake trout. I ate it, With beer.

Yeah.......... I miss Ray doing his videos and TV presentations. Now that Mors has passed on, and Malcolm Douglas, Jack Absolom, Harry Butler, Les Hiddins, and all the other greats gone or retired, there is a huge black hole in the wilderness world. So much depth and character gone; replaced by the synthetic and disposable shallowness of PopCulture trash..............leaving us waiting patiently, for the new human renaissance. Hope to see you again soon Ray.....
