The gas springs have popped on our mill for the third time. I have learned a trick that helps with removal an especially on installation.

Ok, I’m about to replace mine for the second time! This young man did a great job explaining things! He clearly has an amazing family (village) around him! Instead sitting in his room playing video games, this guy is outside busting butt, milling logs, and fixing equipment!! This young man will be a winner!! Great job Family! Cheers

My LT15 Wide was delivered last October. I ordered it the previous February and was told to expect it in July. No big deal, but winter here is brutal. So i didn't even unbolt it from the shipping pallet. I stored it in my conex with the mast nearly all the way up (3" from full extension, limited by conex height). Then, as usual, I beat feet to Arizona for the winter. Now that I'm back for the summer season, i set it up and learned that the shocks were bad. W/M was very gracious. Told me about the defect problem and shipped out new ones at no charge. This video will be a definite re-watch when i receive the new shocks! BTW, very sharp young man. My only question is hiw can the look so much alike...and the boy be so cute while the dad is so ugly? Just kidding!

By far the best video out there for replacing the gas springs on the lt15 wide. My gas springs have just went out for the second time, the first time parts were under warranty. Was wondering if you have found a cheaper overattentive to factor parts from woodmizer. Thanks for sharing such an awesome video!

So far the three times we have blown the springs Woodmizer have covered them under warranty. We replaced them again shortly after the video and this time they are a different brand and Woodmizer hopes to have resolved the problem .

Hi there , thanks for sharing. I am having issues after changing those gas springs, the cutting head is extremely hard to low under 10 inches. Wondering if someone have clue about this issue. Regards from Costa Rica

You got the replacement down cold. When you finish using the mill, do you store it with the head in lowered position? This would store the gas springs in a loaded state. Woodmizer told me to store the head at half way up...

I store the saw head all the way up as to relieve the pressure from the springs.

I've just replaced the gas springs; it raises just fine but lowering the sawhead takes a little effort; any suggestions?
