When I was 12 my dad took me small game hunting for the first time..I was so excited I had been anticipating it for several years and finally the day had arrived(I think I was much more into the survival aspect then the actual hunting) it didn’t take us long to kick up some rabbits. I swung up my 16 gauge single shot to shoulder it and noticed a young hair at my feet and yelled “dad I see a rabbit”..my dad about 15 yards away yells back “well shoot it” lol..not seeing how I had em’ point blank… well I shot it. My dads walking up going “Oh my God” I looked back at my dad all excited “I got em”..my dad now right behind looking over my shoulder goes(under his breath) “yep you did” so I asked “what do we do take it back n eat it” my dad fkn laughed so hard and goes “what that little piece of fur, Matt there’s nothing left of it” I got a little bummed..so my dad put his hand on my shoulder nd goes “give him a running start next time haha”..I’m now 32 and maybe not one of the most “fondest” memories but something I’ll never forget because hunting/fishing and shooting guns was our “thing” that brought us together..I just lost my dad this January from complications to lung cancer and COPD..we used to work together selling card at a Ford dealership he was a financial manager and I was a salesman…🥺 I really miss him

@@Joshster27 if you bothered to slow it down, which you definitely did not, the bird just disappears from screen when it meets the electricity. But usually animals will be charred and drop onto the ground instead of simply...disappearing. That’s impossible. Even bugs have remains when electrocuted.

I used to work as an electrical distribution lineman. Squirrels were always getting zapped at the same aera. There was a 100 KVA transformer that feed a city block on a 55 foot pole and a pecan tree grew around the pole. Every day at lunchtime someone would call dispatch and say they heard a blast like a shotgun and the power was out. I would climb the pole with my high voltage gloves, a fiberglass switch stick and a new fuse. I always had to drag a dead squirrel off the top of the transformer and refused the cut out door. The squirrels would sit on top of the transformer which was grounded and sniff the 7200volt jumper. The result was a roasted squirrel with no whiskers and badly burnt feet. In this video you can watch the feathers of the woodpecker get fuller as the bird was getting charged. There might have been a very small window of opportunity for the bird to fly but the voltage was much higher and the jumpers were very close together. High voltage will trace and you do not need to make contact. I think the woodpecker was dead before it landed on that pole. Somewhere on the ground there was a well done woodpecker. Anyone hungry?
