He deos a really good impression of Woods. And it's not his fault but I find it absurd they needed to find someone who sounds like Woods instead of the OG James C Burns. It's not even like with MW2019 where it was a reboot. Cold War is a sequel to BO1 and BO6 is a sequel to half of BO2. So why replace him?
@brianpass110 күн бұрын
dont understand why they replaced everyone besides weaver

There were rumors that BOCW was actually SUPPOSED to be a reboot. But apparently, somewhere down the line things changed and they decided to make it a sequel.

James C Burns featured voice lines for a zombies modded map and Activision basically black listed him for that. That was the first thing I read. Other people will say it is because of his politics and others will say its because of money. @@SavageSayo79

I think Damon really grew into the role. It's a new take or phase in Wood's life that we haven't seen so he had more freedom in the role. Plus keeping true to the character.

Could you consider a Kevin Conroy tribute? Yesterday marked 2nd anniversary of his death. He was the best voice of Batman and made the Animated Series into a classic. I made a tribute to him using the classic 90's toys with footage from Burton, Nolan, Arkham and Injustice but I don't got ur reach, and he deserves much bigger tribute.

It really bothered me that we didn’t see woods haunted by his actions from bo2 in this campaign. No devastation, anger, sadness, no nothing. Just a dude trying to be funny here or there. The story was very bland. We didn’t get to know more about woods or Adler. The new characters are slightly interesting but that’s it. There’s really not an ending to this game it’s only here for the warzone crap. Woods being stabbed was pure shock factor and it was just dumb. Nothing to do with Damon Victor Allen at all or the other cast. I completely blame the writers 100% The missions were cool but the writing just killed any sense of interest I have for this series in terms of story.

I agree the actors all did pretty great but it can’t save the bland writing. You could feel the care and creativity in the first 2 games and that’s why they were so special. Cold War and 6 feel like something’s missing and I think it’s because since war-zone came out we never get complete stories. I personally loved the first two campaigns because of the story and characters not versatile missions which is what seemed to be the priority here. Like why did we only get a mention of David in a small dialogue that can easily be missed? It feels so disconnected from the rest of the series and again Woods actor is doing great and one of the only things I enjoy another the new campaigns.

Woods isn't the type to truly show his emotions besides dealing with them with a stern face and humor on the outside. Internally, you can tell he's still hurting whenever you see him working on his weapons or the part where he is looking out in the open at the balcony. Plus, if you bothered looking closer at his living space, you'd be able to see a picture of him and Mason together having a good time in their Cold War outfits, showing he hasn't exactly moved on from the guilt of his death (as we know he never did in BO2 2025). Subtle details like that are enough to say a lot about a character, but you can't also fault the game for the player's rush through the campaign either and not understand anything because they wanted to speedrun it on their first playthrough. And the whole Cradle thing really opened up a can of worms for many possibilities about how they could tackle the story of Black Ops in the future. Honestly, having Nova Six as the only thing biological in the main story was too bland and had already been milked for too long. Sure, we didn't get a proper ending, which is the only thing I have a main issue with the campaign, but to say that the entirety of the story was bland is just too harsh over some rather simple complaint of an uninfinished ending. EDIT: Oh and you get to know a lot about Marshall, Adler, and Park whenever you're doing the open-world missions as you travel across the map. It's very similar to the way how Uncharted 4 did its dialogue when doing those open world sections of the game.
@TheRealist17810 күн бұрын
@@EpsilonChurchRVB That’s just cope. He does show emotion and talks about his feelings. Did you not play Bo2? Subtle details does add to the character yes, but that ain’t an excuse to justify this outcome of his character. Rushing the campaign or not, they need to have an actual interesting story to tell, not this sad excuse of a warzone season 1 ending teaser. For the love of God, he’s not even suffering like he did in bo2. Nah bro fr you gotta go back and play bo2 and then compare it to this campaign.
@EpsilonChurchRVB10 күн бұрын
@@TheRealist178 Are you sure you're not the one high on copium? You're literally crying about Woods not showing more emotion in BO6 like he did in BO2. Do you not know how psychological pain even works? First off, it's only been 2 years since the whole Panama incident happened in BO6. As Mason once put it in BO1, he's not the type to show his true emotions in front of you, but you can still tell when he's clearly hurting. The initial struggles of something to this extent isn't all hugs and tears at first. Denial is one of the first things to experience during a guilt like that. Second, comes trying to hide all of it and put up a stern persona on the outside, which is what Woods has been doing throughout BO6. Next, as time passes (which clearly did in BO2) all those locked emotions, while also trying to recall back the events that led to the incident, will come crumbling down and finally destroy you apart, especially when Woods had been trying to hide the fact that he was the one responsible for David's father's death. Obviously that's gonna destroy him emotionally as we see this in BO2. This is how you do proper storytelling about someone suffering guilt, just exactly the way Menendez meant Woods to suffer from over the years. It's not all about being emotional 24/7 for the rest of your life.There's several phases to it, and Woods is simply going through one of the early phases of dealing with such guilt and trauma in BO6. Instead of using nostalgia and copium to get yourself high on baseless complaints, use common sense for once.

@@EpsilonChurchRVB 1986 was when the Panama mission happened, we are in 1991-92, r-tard. Just put the fries in the bag lil guy, we ain’t the same. It’s not nostalgia blinding but actual common sense, which you lack of btw. It’s a shit story, stop defending this garbage.
