Hot tip for hat brims: use thin wire rope from the hardware store. It will flex and make the hat "crushable" while still keeping the brim stuff. 👌
@jenavasexton1645Ай бұрын
Note you do need wire cutters to cut it and the ends can be pokey.

Thanks - I didn't even consider this as I didn't know it existed, but next time I make a hat, I will keep it in mind.

@allisonroyal315 That's right; I am the pun'kin king! 🎃 (To be clear, that's not actually hubris; rather a paraphrased Nightmare Before Christmas quote.)

One day I hope to learn how to sew and create things like this. Until then, I will be living vicariously through your projects Claire! Thanks for sharing 🥰

I thought interfacing both sides of the brim was excessive, but no, it really needed the extra structure!

Wow! I hardly recognized you when you popped on screen all dressed up! Yes indeed you look like the wicked witch of the west …there’s no question! You did a great job. I do have a question, tho…are you married? I noticed a wedding ring! I don’t know why I’m so shocked …probably because I’m 60 year old lady and Every body looks very young to me, but I guess I just assumed you were a young (single) girl. Haha happy Halloween!

Interfacing...🤔 I'll have to remember that for future projects. Your Wicked Witch of the West turned out great. Your version is not obsessed with getting Dorothy's ruby slippers because her dark hair is better.

The witches evening hat! ✨ It's glorious! Very clever choices with the costume. It read perfectly! Witches are a special interest for me so your Halloween content has been so so fun for me in particular. 💖🎃 I do infact own the same everyday knit witch hat that you have. 😂

Just released* is a brand new story about Baum’s reception of the Oz idea. “Prion Mind” is a cerebral juggernaut. Was the Oz story inspired by a visit to a Kankakee, IL mental ward? This fresh novel jolts the reader’s imagination, in a dark and very bizarre direction. This version of Oz…ain’t for kiddies! *currently available at online platforms; in Barnes & Noble stores in January.
