Southern New Jersey on Saturday November 30th brought beautiful sunny skies and incredible railroad action on the Woodstown Central Railroad and Conrail Shared Assets. The star of the show was 0-6-0 #9 making her excursion debut on the Woodstown Central which has slowly been making a name for itself as one of the rising excursion railroads not just in New Jersey, but also throughout the northeast. Along with the excitement of steam back in South Jersey, Conrail Shared Assets had an extra running today on the Penns Grove Secondary from Pavonia Yard in Camden to Carney's Point in Deepwater, New Jersey. That job was CA-64 pulling an extra CA-11. This is normally a weekday job, but due to Thanksgiving they had to run on the weekend to finish out the normal weekday duties. A pair of CSX SD40-2's did the honors on CA-64 as we would chase the job on its return trip towards Camden from Deepwater to Bridgeport where Conrail interchanges with SMS Rail Lines.
