I just found your channel and have seen a few or your videos and I also just ordered the pan set from your e-bay link and can't wait to use them. Right now I use one 8 inch and one 10 inch Lodge cast iron pan for most of my cooking.

I found this video researching your bannock technique and I hit pay dirt. I learned that a properly seasoned pan can be similar to having a high fiber diet. "Not much to clean up there, is there?" "The odd time you may need to bring a little bit of water into the picture, but generally just a quick wipe is all that you need." Thanks for the videos!

I just purchased a cold handle frying pan from my local 2nd hand store for 5 dollars. It has some warping so I'll be making a video on me reshaping the bottom. Then seasoning it. Wow I hadn't heard of bannock since I was a kid in the Yukon. We would catch a mess of artic grayling and have fish and bannock with low bush blue berries in the bannock. Great memories! I'll have to make some. I just subscribed to your channel too. Happy new year

Thanks for your bannock tutorial Im a big fan of the stamped steel skillets. I picked up 2 antique ones at a shop for $1.50 each. Had to sand them a lot to get rid of rust and pits. They get loads of use in the kitchen. I'd like a 10 or 12 inch for the house. The no.7 is going to start getting put in my pack like yours. Thanks for sharing.

Awsome bannock 😋 I am a bit addicted to bannock 😂😂😂 I agree with Bacon fat that is why I sometimes cook the bacon first and drop the bannock in after 😉 I also recently discovered that the buttermilk bisquick mix makes great bannock and quite easy for beginners. I have an old stamped steel pan, a 6 inches/8 oz that I like to carry on really handy even If I do Really like my cast iron skillet. Don't know the brand there only a 8 stamped in the handle. I also have a 16 inches one but that one is reserve for massive cooking 😜 Thanks for this great moment and that bon noce just makes me hungryyyyy 👍👊✌️

I found one on ebay. $9 plus $10 shipping. These were also made by National, Acme, and others. Mine was a little warped and some rust. I started sanding, but didn't get very far. Heat it, good oil and coarse salt took rust off and made it smell a long way better. Rinsed. Repeated. Wiped grape seed oil, wiped dry, heated until smoking. Better than Teflon.
