Just 'scribed', nice. I'm still a newbie' of 3 yrs with a mini 8X12, got a 10X18 three weeks ago. Not that good yet but a hit at our towns annual 'street fair', First weekend of November. One of the men on the main street asocciation has held two of his tables for me each time. Its a lot of fun. I just beat lung cancer and my health is not what it was to say the least, kinda forced into early retirement. I spend a lot of time in my little 12X16 wood shoo. Scrollsawer for 23 years now but the lathe has opened up a whole new world. I have just begun trying out 'inside out' and today was a major breakthrough, yeah..... There is so much talent on here, everyone is super, I have a long way to go but I'm enjoying working my way there. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with the rest of us. Merry Christmas, wishing you the very best......

Very cool idea! If you use manual focus, we can see better what happens to the workpiece. Do you really need several hours of drying time? Usually, with the normal yellow Titebond, half an hour or so is enough and you can go on working with the pieces... wouldn't want to run any unnecessary risks on the lathe of course.
@JerryPaulTreeCreations9 жыл бұрын

Hello Jerry, what a nicely done piece! I enjoyed watching and beeing inspired by you! Thank you! But may I suggest to take care of focusing the camera? In some sequences the multiple objectfocus didn´t work so fine due to what you wanted to show us on the proscess. For example showing crystal clear, the shredds behind and your knuckles in the front but unluckily unsharp what you were doing with your tool. Maybe it´ll help to set focus on manually so that one point on your tool is crisp? Kindly and impressed Jens (germany)

It may be easier, but I do have to admit, the grains don't line up the way they could if you are to do the cuts first. I tried this as an experiment, and although I'm happy with the result, I know when I look at it that the grain doesn't line up and it kind of makes me nuts. :) Cheers!

Nice piece dude good job, music is not bad either (where did you get that from?) Thanks! The music is mine. I threw it together using a program called fruityloops. Sorry about the pop ups. I can't really do anything about them other than de-monetize my channel, and then, what's the point of the channel. Like the vid's, Jerry. Thanks for the posts, you turn some nice pieces and watching what you do puts me in a peaceful place! But then pop-up ads start popping up, covering up the damn screen! This riles me! And spoils my experience. Lose the pop-ups please, Jerry. They're counter-productive, I reckon. Apart from them I enjoy watching what your mind and hands produce! Keep doing it!!!! Just not with pop-ups...... please....
@JerryPaulTreeCreations7 жыл бұрын
I really dislike that too. The ads are annoying, but I do get a little bit of revenue from them, so they aren't really counter productive to me. Usually when I watch other people's videos I just hit the little x in the top right corner of the ad box. Sometimes, if it covers up what I want to see, I have to go back a little in the timeline to watch it without the ad there. As a creator on youtube, I understand that people running the ads are getting a few pennies from them, and for many, every penny counts. I truly am sorry that they rile you, but we all have to put up with them on almost every video that is monetized. I'm really glad you like the videos, and I appreciate your comment. Thank you for watching. Cheers!
@MrPossumeyes7 жыл бұрын
Find another way to monetise, Jerry! Ads that cover the video are not amusing. Not interested in tracking and clicking the little x, not interested in re-winding to before the pop-up, just want to watch the video. Just so you know. Later. Maybe.
@JerryPaulTreeCreations7 жыл бұрын
Well, Mr. Possumeyes, if that is your real name... I'm not really the sort that bows to pressures from faceless, nameless and rather uptight strangers. I'm sorry that you are easily disturbed. Perhaps you should stick to network television where there are no commercials... oh wait.... Nevermind.
@MrPossumeyes7 жыл бұрын
It was a simple remark, Jerry. No need to take offence. And no, MrPossumeyes is not my real name. I like watching what your mind and hands turn out - but get ticked off by the pop-ups. Just wanted to let you know.... don't get upset, just take it as constructive feedback from someone who likes watching what you do! And you do good stuff that I appreciate! Don't get upset at my comments, please. I just get ticked off when ads cover the stuff I'm wanting to watch!
@JerryPaulTreeCreations7 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the clarification. I too, find the pop ups annoying, but as I said, it's just part of the system. I could remove them, but since this past change in youtube's algorithms, my income has already dropped by at least 50%. - Right when I was starting to be able to earn a little bit on a monthly basis from my videos, which I intended to use towards things like sandpaper and finishes. Despite the crudeness and somewhat hasty method of production, it does take quite a while to get the videos made and uploaded to the site. I've actually gone so far as to add a 'donations' button to my opening page in hopes that I may be able to garner a little income from the kindness of strangers to keep my channel going. Sometimes, "a simple remark" can cut pretty deep when presented in certain ways. (eg. - opening with "Find another way to monetize, Jerry!" was like a punch ) - Imagine a stranger walking up to you in the street and demanding that you to take off your glasses because they blocked their view of your face, or told you to take off your shirt because it has a McDonald's logo on it. Please, before hitting the 'send' button, read back to yourself what you had written as if a stranger that you couldn't see was saying it to you. ... With a giant megaphone... For all the world to hear.... I don't like the advertisements, but for me, they are a necessary evil. I truly hope you can understand that. I'm glad that you enjoy the videos and what I do, and I do appreciate constructive criticism and open conversation. I'm not upset, and I'm not really all that offended. I would just like you to understand my point of view. I appreciate the time you have taken to watch my videos, and comment. Thank you. Have a nice day.
