Yes, the result is quite impressive. It seems that you don't think much of classic turning gouges, such as bowl gauges or spindle gauges, which are provided with a wide variety of grinds. I don't think this nonsense with these American irons is suitable for most situations. There are no more chips, just dust. For me this has almost nothing to do with the art of wood turning. In your video I found the music disturbing, although one can argue about musical taste. As I said, the result is ok, but the many points that I didn't like were the deciding factor for a thumbs down. I don't give this thumbs down often, nor do I comment often, but when I do, I'll be fair enough to tell you why. I'll keep watching your channel and see what happens. i appreciate you commenting, so i have and can use 'traditional' gouges i just choose not to, i did in fact own a full set and a sharpening system i just always found myself holding a carbide tool so i decided that it was pointless keeping them as i rarely used them so i sold them and used the money and got a tool i would actually use often, with regards to music in the video, firstly, i do try to mix it up to please everyone, secondly, unfortunately having music in my videos is something that is not by choice, i live in a very high residential area where there is a lot of background noise that i cant avoid from construction and traffic which id rather not have in my videos.... believe me, id love to be able to have the tool sounds and not have to pay for music but it is what it is, also because of where i live i have a time slot as to when i can get into the shop because of the noise, so its not like i can get out there when everything has quietened down because kids have school and people just dont want to hear it that time of the night.... hope you can understand my side of the things a bit more now
