Thanks Huw. It's a great project for a master pen turner such as yourself. I love that skew! I made a custom handle for it rather than the modular sorby one but it still let's me take the tool out as I need to do that to sharpen it. I did about 95% of all the beads with that one and a similar Ashley Isles skew but I did use a beading tool and a small 1/4" gouge on some for the coves. All the best, Dave

Cool idea, nice skewing too! I've turned a couple pens now and kept the offcuts as I was thinking about sanding them into cubes but some might also become beads! Cheers mate!
