Here in Arizona I’ve got mature ironwood trees in my backyard and when I trim it up any branches over 1 inch gets place in my turning pile and is left to season for at least a couple years. Lately I have been making drilled out and turned snowmen with top hats, with a plug in the bottom to place notes or something small in the hollowed out center, with pipe cleaner arms and scarves. Tonight I am going out in the middle of the night to place one on each house that has decorations in the yard on my block. Along with a note wishing them a merry Christmas.they are also painted white with black dots for eyes and buttons black for the top hat with red for the hatband.

Why are all the fun and crafts(person) women always taken !!! I asked Santa for an Ashley for Christmas, yesterday I received a call from the local bulk fuel supply store asking where I wanted the 20 pounds of coal delivered. Such beautiful delicate work takes a good eye and steady hands to be so precise. Just beautiful. Alania, I know that you watch this channel, I want a bunch of those earings as decorations on my Maple Prop !! :-😎❄🎄🎄🎄🙏 Merry Christmas from Minnesota during a Blizzard Warning.

It's always a treat to open KZbin and see you have a new video! I was wondering if could explain the live center you are using? The 1" long or so rod shape is not something I have seen, but I'm new to turning and trying to learn about the tools.

I’ve seen some of your jewelry in footage in other videos, but this is the first time I’ve actually seen you make them. So used to the larger projects. My wife was amazed at the amount of work involved in just one pair of earrings. Happy holidays and good health to you and yours.

Very talented. I love watching you work the lathe so well. You have very good control with the chisels but I got to say I did go back and have a 2nd look when you used the drill bit on the first ear ring. I honestly thought you were holding it with your bare hands. I didn't see the precision drill bit holder at first.

Wow, you turned those perfect little shapes in almost one stroke of the chisel. It’s almost like watching CNC in motion. Been feeling guilty that my reply to your motivational video where you mentioned your years at the farmers market I watched last month was not worthy of your message as after watching it I got out of bed early for a couple of weeks and really got some work done. Happy Christmas Ash Wood!
