Getting the beaver poops.... Harry doesn't know what he's in for!!! Beautiful piece!!!
@pigeonmanof1802 жыл бұрын
The opening dialogue cracked me up. “...why didn’t you just throw out the alcohol? ........I didn’t think of that.” Honestly, although I really enjoy watching you turn stuff, the banter with Harry is one of the main reasons I keep coming back to your channel.

Nice one, Robert. You should have told Harry to just go to the river and get a drink (lol). Also, if he had the beaver poops too long there wouldn't be anything left but a pelt. Take care. Bill

I've been curious how to make these. Tough to keep that piece perfectly centered with so many different mounting positions! Very nice.

Thanks David! It went fairly smoothly and if the rim is a bit thicker in one place then it's not too bad.

Leave it to Harry to get rid of cups instead of the alcohol. Now he can drink and eat at the same time. Sure he’ll like the taste of some whiskey flavor pecan. Nicely done. Thank you for sharing.

I’m with Harry, throw out the cups and keep the alcohol! Obviously Robert can make cups easy enough and distilling spirits is not legal for the general public! Probably one of the finest projects I’ve watched on KZbin and definitely the MOST ENTERTAINING!

Give up alcohol? Did the beaver party too much? Have you tried mineral oil and beeswax for a finish on food grade stuff?
@HodgePodgeWoodWorks3 жыл бұрын
Yeah Harry over does it at times. I do have a bit of container of beeswax/mineral oil but thought the beeswax might effect the taste of whatever was in it. Then again, I realized it would be used for scooping dry stuff anyways since the wood was spalted.
@aggieturning57963 жыл бұрын
@@HodgePodgeWoodWorks but the alcohol should kill the spalting effects anyways right?
@HodgePodgeWoodWorks3 жыл бұрын
No idea. Once I get some other wood I'll just make a new one for drinking coffee or something. I'm Harry's had worse in his mouth besides a bit if spalting.

Nice job. Was expecting you to sand inside while still on lathe, and put back between centres to take of the end and the handle to almost nothing. Guess you were getting really thirsty. LOL
@HodgePodgeWoodWorks3 жыл бұрын
If I had to do it again I think I would of went down smaller with the small bits on the handle and the front of the cup and sanding the inside would of made sense. Harry was being very whiny though!
