This video is fantastic, I love the design. I was using my Jamison to hollow a vase last week ,the screw that holds the small diameter rod in the end came loose. Drastic design opportunity for me !

@@CarlJacobson I started only a few months ago with my grandfathers old lathe, its probably 40+ years old and its on its last leg, every thing about it is wore out. The spindle is bent and I couldn't find a replacment, the bearings are wore out, the motor won't start unless I manually rotate the belt and the tail stock moves several inches in every direction. Ive been saving for a while to replace it and I just got to order a new one a few days ago. Your videos have helped me a lot and its really great to see how nice things can come out once you have alot of experience under your belt.

Beautiful work as always Carl. I hope you kept those walnut off- cuts to be used as pen blanks or something similar:-). I've recently upgraded my dust masks to something more effective than the basic paper filters. It was a good move as I was getting bored with misted-up glasses. I regret to say some of my bodily parts have seen better times (I'll spare you the details) but I intend to keep my lungs in as good condition as possible. Best wishes, Alan.
