Ed, I like it. What I like is that you are not afraid to experiment doing different things. I encourage you to keep experimenting since you may find something unique to you and become well known for it. As I was writing this, I thought perhaps another bowl textured in the same way, but with a rainbow of different colors. Or try a different tool to texture the outside. Maybe make your own type of texturing tool that puts a new spin on texturing wood. Mike Peace made his own texturing tool that seems to work well. I made one and it does a nice job. Perhaps a new variation to the tool may work????? Just keep experimenting!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Thank you so much John! A friend of mine that got me into woodturning said that your mind is your only limitation. I completely agree with that and I find that I look at things differently. Never considered cotton wood. It is soooooo soft. Lots available as it has zero value here in Washington.
@paulpierce48184 жыл бұрын
Cottonwood is great wood to work with and has beautiful designs. I cherish all I can get, but here in my area, I can't ever seem to find a decent piece. It's usually rotted out or hollow cored. I'd love to have a piece like Ed is working on for a bowl. Mine are only good for small vases or twig pots.
