I always wondered what it looked like while it was curing in the pot and how the resin came out with no bubbles. My nerdy curiosity has been satisfied.

What you saw i "think" was a few cycles of creating a vacuum so that when it released it really got into that wood. Then , while it wasn't directly shown, i assume he reversed the flow and put it under pressure to cure. It was glassy at the end and that's tough to get just with a vacuum.

Probably my favorite thing you have produced. Bad ass. And clever using the off cut. This is definitely an application where the colored resin is a co-star. Normally (being a wood lover) I feel the artificial colors detract from the unique beauty of the wood. Not with this piece. Well done sir.

A wood butcher friend once told me the first woodworking tools he learned to use were a broom and a vacuum. I can see why after viewing you videos. Great piece, BTW. It was sort of like watching a Tarantino movie: I was not always sure where we were going or exactly how we got there, but I was very satisfied at the end.
