I like how filling the crack with green epoxy resin allows you to turn what would have been a blemish into an attractive highlight. I think it is a good metaphor for life: blemishes will always be there, but with the right approach they can turn into the start of something beautiful.

Again such talent...I still sit here in the edge of my seat wondering “please don’t mess ur hands up!” I told u I really messed up my thumb when I was In shop class in 1967...I was turning a bowl and the gouge stuck out to far taking my hand with it...pulled the nail out from the root. Owwwwww! Haven’t been on a lathe since. Yet I collect exotic woods and let others make beautiful projects. Thank u for sharing in your world.

I see that a face mask and respirator was in order for this project. Kind of reminded me of walnut the way it turned to dust when being worked. The grain is gorgeous! Beautiful job Andy!!!

Nice piece Andy.I believe it can look smart when inclusions, voids and checks are embellished as opposed to attempts at trying to hide faults in wood with sawdust and glue. Certainly the case with this piece of wood. Congratulations on a really beautiful piece.Regards and best wishes, T.

I was watch a video yesterday about a pipe making company in Ireland that makes pipes from briar wood, which is a root wood and the briars get about football sized and the figuring in the wood is fantastic
