the author does like to from scratch, shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. kzbin.infoUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ as another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us dont have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we wont be able to practice the full stack project, is still great.

Jim - beautiful bowl. I like that coarse inlay material too. I worked with stress in materials for a significant part of my career. I believe the bowl after drying is in stress equilibrium which means the tensile and compressive stresses are balanced. When you final turn it you remove more end grain material from the outside and side grain material from the inside which changes the stress balance. I think this is why the bowl changed shape after the final turning. Go Designer Epoxy.

Varnish goes on and shazam! I absolutely love black walnut. Years back in college we were given a box of 3x3" 'scraps', I guess you'd call them, all sorts of wood in there, but there was some black walnut blocks amongst the bunch and all I wanted to do with it was to sand it down and put a varnish on it because the grain and colour is just so perfect - add some gold or brass accents and yeah, *chef's kiss*. The turquoise is equally perfect for it, really beautiful colours. Love it! Massive congrats to Lisa, gorgeous piece you have there! ^^

The size of the bowl is great, love the color of black walnut. The inlay looks like real turquoise to me, stunning sir. Over all an outstanding work of art sir. Thank you for the post, and all the hard work that goes into making it. And that means on both sides of the camera.🌿 Another ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐work of art.

This has gotta be the most beautiful walnut bowl I've ever seen! I'm not really a fan of walnut in general because it doesn't have as much yellow or red in the wood color as I like, but this one turned out great! Love that turquoise! I agree that the fake stuff looks more real. Guess that's the world we live in these days!

Designer Epoxy The rich color of the black walnut paired with the blue of the turquoise makes this a visually stunning piece. I enjoy working with walnut and am using it in my current project paired with maple.

Love the contrasting colors in this one. Love your resin work, but there is something about a "simple" inlay that is pleasing to look at.

An awesome natural inlay. You are right Black Walnut is definitely the king of hardwoods, a beauty. Learned new information on how woods move (tension/relax). Thanks again.

Love the grain of that walnut! I think that artificial turquoise looks great as well. That's an excellent color combo for another masterfully finished piece.
