...this double crotch winged bowl just popped up on my home page...and it really did turn out gorgeous...! It's a beautiful thing when two crotches come together...👍 Matt

Haha, I'll need to save that joke for next time I find a log like this!

Nice work. I like that you kept the wings on. The only thing I would have preferred is keeping the chainsaw marks. I love chainsaw marks on pieces like this.

Good looking bowl. Not long ago I commented you had become my favorite bowl maker. Not to imply that your skills were limited to bowls. I do love your work and learn from you. Thanks, Rick.

Nice bowl. You should turn the other half of that crotch so the inside of the tree is the base and see how much feathering of the grain remains at the bottom of the bowl.
@HodgePodgeWoodWorks3 жыл бұрын
Sadly I only have one half of this piece as it was given to me from a fellow woodturner that was moving out of town.

Maybe a silly question, are the coffee grounds new or used?

They're used but I doubt it matters. Just make sure if they're used that they've dried out.

Turned out very nice Hodge. Thanks for sharing. Hope you and your family are well, including Harry. Just got a wood burning set in. fairly inexpensive one, but heat setting do you use to sign the bottom of your pieces? Thanks again.
@HodgePodgeWoodWorks3 жыл бұрын
I typically have mine set around 6 or 7 out of 10. But I like to try and test it out on similar wood if I have a scrap piece near me.
