I've had countless success stories sent my way from makers who have built and sold these builds... It's your turn to be one of those. Throughout this video, I'll show you 62 different easy DIY woodworking projects that sell! Grow your woodworking business or side hustle with "smalls"! Let's break down some builds!
Often, smaller items are looked over by new builders looking to make a name for themselves because they are looking for "that one build" that they can sell for a ton of money. They aren't considering the cost of the build and the time spent making it. Ultimately any business comes down to profit margins. I'll give you a few examples of how selling items that anyone can afford can generate crazy sales with minimal cost of goods sold!
Sometimes we overthink things when the most profitable items we are looking past. Let's change that.

I'm a metal fabricator who does home remodeling and repairs with woodworking as a hobby. I have been building wood projects for the past few years, however everything has been gifts for family or for the wife. I took an office job because my body can't hang with these youngsters anymore so I now have way more free time. I decided to jump into for sale items and started researching simple builds that can be flipped with very little involved. Using my home remodeling/ repairing costs knowledge doesn't help with small, decorative items. Come across your channel and you have some great ideas on generating income with limited cost. You have gotten my old brain thinking. Great work & presentation. New subscriber now.

I really love your content. I lost my mother in November and the company that supplies headstones in my area told us that it's going to be 2 1/2 years before they get to Mom's headstone but I remembered that video of the distressed cross and I happened to have a cedar post that is 4 1/2 inches by 7 1/2 inches and 7 ft long, so I built her a cross marker to use until they get the headstone. I never would have thought about it if you hadn't made the video. I and my family thank you.

I love your videos. I am a 3rd gen wood worker. My grandpa was a cabinet maker in Kentucky, Still have a few of my grandpas woodworking tools. Nothing modern. All primitive, I have his bicycle peddle jig saw from 1886. I really don’t need patterns. I can make anything from visual. But appreciate you researching what’s trending. Don’t know why ppl pay big prices for sawdust items. Love real wood. Grandma power!

@robertaprestom4200 I agree 💯 with your comment, for this is my truth as well. Aside from the purpose he shares, he actually helps in my mentals! Meaning I have been down dealing with the recent death of both my dad & Uncle who were more than their "titles" they were my friends and the only two individuals that actually gave me confidence and supported my ideas. My uncle was just beginning to teach me woodworking for I love to work with my hands and I am a "dirt girl" 😅. I've also lost my daughter's father where he did auto body *and I helped* I loved sanding cars go figure.... After the loss I moved back with parents as I couldn't afford alone and also a single mom now. Unfortunately, for as long as I can recall my mom & I don't get along (I think which sounds just wrong but it's what it appears to be and that she's jealous of the bond I have with my dad I spent my childhood as his garage bud I was his "small hand" mechanic where his hobby was always a classic hot rod 😊. Lol maybe that was part held fire that made mom not care for me cuz as a kid and doing that Im sure I ruined lots of clothes as I wore dirt and grease grime a lot😆 I must admit I don't like mechanic work due to tight quarters and the greasy grim yuk! In early adult life I was in a pretty bad car wreck and coupled with mental health issues *gained from lifelong abusive words from mom* I ended up on disability. Now almost 60 SSDI not ssi It's made life to be a struggle for survival where my Uncle was coming to rescue. Only he was taken suddenly with cancer *thankful the battle was short* I now have his tools. Which brings me to where I am again struggling living with my mother opfff! Not easy omg! And I am stuck here financially. And in my quest to fill that need I came across this man's you tube channel. I swear this finding was found "heaven sent help" Helping me with encouragement and inspiration. He speaks where I understand and his voice is clear sounding filled with his confidence even more so I sense his desire to help others. I'm alone in an unorganized house that now has my uncle's belongings I must sort through on top of my own & parents too where I held no desire to do, now this gives me a push so that I can actually help myself in trying my hands at wood working! Where I found the need of needing more push this morning I came back to this guy right here!. Now to those who have taken the time to read all this I thank you, I'm NOT looking for any pity I hate pity!! I just need understanding. I've come to the conclusion that life is rAw where we all NEED understanding for it is MISUNDERSTANDINGs & Assumptions that turn life ass backwards that rAw becomes a battle in a tug of WaR. When All REALLY just need to give the respect to All where we set our opinions Aside due to the fact right Accompanies wrong Naturally by our design. Come together in the center where opposite not only Attract we All are equally dependent upon another to Achieve any and all gain. As the capital A shows the horizontal line in the center is the bridge that closes the gap where it's fact what is Right for one may be just Wrong for Another is just the given Fact Accept what you can't change, And change what you can. Life is shared where all have their own journey and no one will ever survive life alive it's by giving our all where those different are enabled to do the same makes all the difference where we are really no different because all are just unique. We have the choice of how our factor will affect life's given problem. Do we take away for our own self and survival or do we add to where together our given efforts become effortless for we enabled where it is possible to live where all in life thrive creating bonds where we give respect is where we all are able to love everyone even when we will not like everyone just because like is based upon opinion where as love stems from respect *come on no likes everything about the ones you love but respectfully you overlook the difference because you bonded from giving respect created the mutual trust fund which benefits all that are equally holding the same understanding where different all give to growth where equally all receive. Life is complex it's not complicated it's simple when you go back to the basics where you alone are 0 you need another to gain 0, 1, 2, 3 not about religion it's energy. Like the hands of time the moment the big & little hand where each two met in the middle each giving the different measure they had they bonded in the center change took place. One pushes the other pulls 1/2 way around they switch role the minute hand is equal see? And change is the only constant in our life. And Love conquers all where in the center where our ability to choose our way of change you can't break the bond of the trust for time never stops just as the bond of our love continues to give us strength by the memories of the death of a loved one. Love is everlasting. That's my opinion just because it makes reasonable sense to me. Idk what happens when we die but I know this if we are judged I want the heavenly gates to open for me! Even more I think that we could and should be living striving to create the way possible where life is lived in peace and harmony by giving equal ability together we all can strive towards the betterment because you're no better than I. We are just different. Peace all have a great rest of your day or night! ✌🏼 The man who's you tube channel this is (I'm bad remembering names sorry!) I greatly appreciate you! Thank you! Hopefully soon I can repay you from woodworking earnings that is a goal I'm shooting for!! Edit: @MatthewPeech Woodworking had to look so I could make note outside you tube where I remember to keep my word!! Thanks again!

You are brilliant. To have put all of these projects into one video, just brilliant and I speak for all of us all when I say, thank you so much. The more projects we watch, the more our woodworking blood flows. And to gift the world, a video of back to back projects, That shows the goodness of your heart, and your desire to raise our desire to dive in and just make projects, to sell, you are one of a kind. I pray you are reaping the benefits, mental and financial that you deserve. Hope all had an amazing holiday season!

A little pro tip to hobby lobby or Joann’s even Michaels …. EVERYTHING is priced to sell higher because they get rotated at 40% or more. Joann’s seasonal will go to 70% off probably a month and a half in.. I know I work there. Not to mention using total off coupons on top the sale (at Joann’s anyway)

Thanks Matthew for the compilation and the reminders of the all-season opportunities to make money. You always give us great tips and suggestions, and should be inducted into the "fence picket hall of fame" for always reminding us that this inexpensive material is so versatile and easily the best chance for simple amateurs to get started. Have you considered talking to wood shop instructors in schools about having the students also follow some of your examples for their own fund raising options? I hope you and your family had a great Christmas and hope you have a safe and very Happy New Year.

The wall art at the 57 minute mark would be easier to measure out if you used a quilt pattern book because the cutting instructions are already there. Plus you'll get large variety of interesting patterns that would appeal to more people- wood workers, quilters, lovers of rustic items & even modern abstracts.

On the distressing paint effect of the 3 little trees, you mentioned Vaseline, but you can also create a crackle effect using Elmer's glue & then sand lightly. You can paint your color choice, say red, let that dry completely. Paint on a layer of glue & before it dries, paint over it with white. As it dries, you will see the crackling form. The thicker glue areas will create bigger cracks. Once it's completely dry, I usually wait until the next day, you lightly hit it with the sander where you want the base coat to be revealed.

Great informative vids. I hear that a jigsaw can be used without first drilling a hole, Start the blade parallel to the spot you want to cut into and pull the trigger, keeping front of saw firmly against wood and slowly bury blade in material, works for me every time! Matthew keep up the best shows!

I am stunned at the prices of many of these items... I reckon some folks have more money than sense lol You Mr. Peach and I are of the same mind "keep your prices reasonable" and you can earn more in volume sales. Everyone likes a good deal so why limit sales by adding an obviously overblown price tag. Thanks for all the great ideas. Peace

I subscribed to your channel ages ago, but I haven't had a look at any videos for quite awhile. Thank God I clicked on it today and found this video. You are a genius!!! I have all that scrap wood that you've mentioned in the vid.... and more. I've got Aussie White Box and Iron Bark and a heap of fence-panels (Palings we call 'em). All this wood was gonna end up in my fire this Winter (June July August). BUT........ I'm heading to the workshop to make all these brilliant projects. Thanx Brutha. 😁

Love your channel! You've given me so many ideas ~ thank you! I'm fortunate enough to live near a custom cabinet shop and they throw out all of their scraps. Most of it is already sanded down so all I have to do is cut it and begin my project ☺️

The phrase "selling like hotcakes" originated in 19th century America. Hotcakes were pancakes made with cornmeal and were sold at church bake sales and fairs. The phrase means "to be in great demand". The phrase has been popular for over 200 years and continues to be used today.

Home decor trends are moving more towards cottage style vs. Straight up farmhouse. While farmhouse style still sells, home decor is trending towards natural or light and neutral colors and that will put you ahead of the competition.

MP...1st off...the "Peech Tree" comment genuinely made me LOL! Touché! Ok..2nd... why not just tape the tree off and paint it? You already have a contrasting stripe. Then apply wax, and ala-ka-poof! Yes or no?

For wood signs with the suggested carved out designs using a stencil with a Demel tool, I suggest using the stencil as masking and sandblasting the design. This is quick and fast to repeat for production.

It may not be a small that sells but my Chief said he has always wanted a chess table. So I have taken a scrap piece of plywood I had and a few 2x6s and 2x4s and made a chess board table. I have looked on line and something similar was selling for a few hundred dollars and I have maybe $20-30 in it. Granted it was Christmas gift but $20 to make 250-300 will work.
