I use the for switch for my table saw so I can finish my cut and just pick up my foot before moving my cut and off cut. Scared myself once with a kickback after finishing a cut and decided to never do it again

Such an awesome design for storing those big clunky tools that you may not need every day. I really love how you put the spindle sander on there. The whole video has my wheels turning thinking how to best utilize this for my garage redesign next year

Catawampus. I like this idea a lot, but I would like to do it as 4x narrow 2 ft x 4 ft sections so they can all sit neatly against the front and left side of my garage

@Matthew (and anyone else who wants to chime in), I’m concerned about the fact that the backboard and foam are perfectly vertical. It seems to me that the contents could potentially fall out or be dropped while removing, which presents the risk of an accidental discharge. I wonder how feasible it would be to have an inner backboard the foam is attached to and which would hinge at the top. There would be a spring mechanism of some sort that would push the backboard up from the bottom (because the hinges would be on top), thereby making the backboard assume a 25 degree angle. When the front panel is again closed and locked, it would push the inner backboard back down to assume a vertical position just like the front cover. I’m think that while the foam can be made to fit tight, it could get looser over time, and if it’s too tight, it could be difficult to remove the fire….arm in an emergency when the owner is highly stressed (home invasion, etc.). Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I see in the video on the other channel that you used magnets to hold them in place. That’s a good idea, but I would still prefer having the gun bed be partially horizontal in case my clumsy fingers decide to slip and drop the fire….arm.

It's a great idea until you think about someone having one of these with kids. All it takes is the kid finding out about it, an inevitable accident, and you might not have a kid anymore. Nothing is worth that. Becoming a father in the last year has made me want to protect her more than anything. We have to be smart though. Irresponsibly concealing that protection can create a much larger danger.

Key is the locking device. It's not just a 'push to open', takes a particular fob from what I see. There are other locking devices that could be utilized to keep the contents safe as well.

Hi Mathew, I enjoy your videos and get great ideas from them. Would you consider doing a video about the practical side of where you sell your projects. It seems online markets would be ideal but how do you manage the cost of packaging and shipping?

Think there's always something in us woodworkers who love hidden spaces. Be it in a house or a piece of furniture. Hidden drawer bottoms with access from the side or spaces behind a wall.

Harbor Frieght is great for s lot of different things. With that said, do your research. My experience is to stay away from Central Machinery benchtop sanders and drill presses. They are just simply a waste of money. I may have to give a strong look at this Hercules saw for the shop! Great video brother!

With EQ on the top shelf, I would think this is too high for standard 8' ceilings. I am going to attempt with 3 shelves as I have 8' ceiling. Putting the planner on the middle shelf, you don't have to fold the table down allowing you to keep on the EQ on the other shelves. Great design and video. Thanks for keeping woodworking fun!

I think 'The Den of Tools' made a side-by-side comparison of the Hercules and DeWalt miter saws as well. I have the Hercules and it works very well. I'm wondering if both saws were made in the same Chinese factory by the same workers using the same materials.
