Is it me or are those styles in keyboards purposefully, cheesy? It doesn't matter which keyboard you have it's all very uninspiring. The Yamaha PSR did however push the envelope but still not truly inspiring. But I always hear immediately when there's a 1 or 2 (wo)man band playing a keyboard arrangement and I rather settle for an acapella or one instrument session instead. But I guess there's demand for it, they do sell well. And a great video!
@WoodyPianoShack3 жыл бұрын
thanks for the comment raymond, yes, i can hear the cheeze at times, but the interesting thing here is that musicians like you and I can spot it a mile away, but, perhaps more importantly, the general public love this stuff and lap it up! go figure.

I've been playing a Yamaha EW400 for a couple of years now, and the one thing that drives me crazy is the lack of imagination in the 3/4 time styles. I really want a "rock waltz" sort of thing, but the closest I ever get is a "country waltz" or similar, but the percussion always ends up being a slushy brushed snare or hat that's too weak for the rest of my band to hear/follow. Any chance of demoing some waltz styles on various keyboards?

Are the styles, intros and endings copyrighted by Korg? -- Are you free to use them without permission, credits or royalties? My worst story in copyright claim. I took my Yamaha PSS-390, recorded the demo song, because I could not find a good quality version on the web, and decided to share it on SoundCloud, to get a copyright claim on it. And NO, not by Yamaha. By a rather sh*y rap artist that made a "song" in the 90s where he basically use the Yamaha demo song from that keyboard and do little on top. Yeah. Not even sure how Yamaha let that happen. Not going to link to a KZbin video because I don't want to give that guy too much credit, but the Demo can be found in low quality on KZbin, the "artist" song start with "Jaakko" end with "hissis". This is a really low effort "song", should not have any copyright claim as I doubt Yamaha gave any right to use the demo commercially.

30 years ago,a keyboard workstation of this quality,would have made sense(that is,it is far superior to that of the old M1.) Nowadays,in the age of very inexpensive PC DAW's & advanced & cheap Casio keyboards,the i3 is to say the least, obsolete.Why on earth,is Korg still making such keyboards?Who buys them....& why? The i3 is neither gig-worthy,nor anything other than a total embarrassment on stage.Perhaps if the i3 had a usable display size,along with sound library upgrades in the form of a chipset that the users installs himself/herself,I could see the i3 having a place,in the music world.
