I really love checking out solo artists like this because I find their MVs to have the most depth or are more likely to have a narrative.

Woodz is so bloody versatile, not just with his voice, but he can sing, rap, dance and produce, all to a high standard. He records musicians playing their instruments live for his rock-adjacent songs - that's why they sound so much better than something inserted from a program. I recommend you watch his Welcome to My Baverse documentary to get a better idea of the kind of person he is and how he records his songs.

A few comments: As to ABYSS, this song he stated is about the fears he has when he puts out something new and will it be liked by fans/critics. I think lots of the MV of the giving and receiving is the relationship between artist and fans. As to Waiting, I just think the entire album, Only Lovers Left, is one of the best albums released in 2021. The songs are all about the stages of love (everything from infatuation to break-up). I feel this is a song that sounds even better when listened in order of the whole album, (just my bias I am sure) I didn't find WOODZ until Love me Harder and then I went back to all of his older stuff and loved it too. Different is such an amazing song. He was a member of UNIQ and also X1 (for all of a few months, stupid M-net). He is friends with like everyone.

Connect Abyss with Journey. I took abyss as an introspection: the fear and uncertainty of artists given the trust and support of fans, producers, and his past performances... Journey is more on enjoying the process of change and growth...

hell yeah! thanks for the reaction! that man is an artist through and through, i just went to his concert on friday and even after years i’ll never not be impressed by him, vocals, rap, dance, lyrics, producing, he’s as talented as they get and also such a nice human overall. i couldn’t recommend the song Drowning more, even if you just listen to it on your own, it’s a must

I think you’d really like WOODZ’s discography, maybe you should deep dive on his work so far. His bside songs are so good. He releases live clips on his official youtube channel

actually in waiting mv as far as i know the story is that she is the one he loves and she dies and her memory haunts him that he cant run away from it at the end he kls himself. and the first mv was about the 2 minutes of working brain after death so his subconscious was telling him what killed him before his brain shuts down 😁 cool concept right? 😂 i hope you react to more woodz i came here as a melody and weve i recommend woodz too 😁

Firstly, thanks for reacting to WOODZ! I love that you keep trying more of his stuff and your commitment to understanding the videos. Secondly, I think understanding the abyss mv works best by focusing on the orbs. People keep giving the orbs to him and they come from their hearts, which to me represents his fans who give to him. In return, he keeps giving back to them, and there's constant exchange. But as you can tell from the lyrics, the idol-fan relationship can be burdensome and he felt fearful of being too reliant/ putting his security on other's perceptions and understanding of him. That's why in the end, when he lets go of the orbs I think it's very meaningful. He's accepting that he can find that security and understanding in himself and not others. That's the theme of his next music video Journey, which is his story of finding hope after dealing with some of his fears. That's just the basic gist of what I think is going on but yeh... alternatively we could just enjoy the nice french castle.

I'm going to bring up M.O.L.A again (Make Our Lives Awesome). In case someone else hasn't already gushed about it, it's a group of song writers/producers. Honestly, I don't know much beyond that. I know it plays heavily into Pentagon because Nathan is in it, and you can see his name in a ton of Pentagon songs. HoHo is in it. He was the guitarist in Basquiat. Vernon from Seventeen is in it. Jamie is in it. Kino is in it. And Woodz is in it. That is part of the reason I wanted you to know Woodz - not the whole reason, though! Woodz is talented and unique enough that I just think everyone should know who is and what he does.

Woodz has a lot of influence on old rock/pop because his dad was a huge fan of that genre. He produces and writes his songs with his friend Nathan and Hoho (he's the guitarist)❤
