You've done so much! Way to make the bike your own. I'm looking forward to your longer term thoughts on those tires. I'm due for my third rear and second front tire (still on stock front) and always on the look out for opinions on tires. I've gone back and forth a few times between stock and Q4 mufflers, and don't know if I'll ever settle on one over the other.
@WOODZMAN
@WOODZMAN 8 жыл бұрын
+RandomlyTrees I will keep everyone updated on the tires in later videos for sure. I'm the same way on the mufflers. I like them both but I lean mostly toward the stock because it is so peaceful riding the back roads with out the noise. I the last time when I switched back to stock, I sold the Q4 because I knew that I wasn't going to spend that much money agin to get another one. Problem solved :)

That’s an awesome chain. A chain makes ALL the difference. It even feels more plants with a good chain. I have a titanium link never stretch chain on my 05 220 2 stroke endurocross and I’ve adjusted the chain 2 times. Why? Because I had to replace the rear tire 2! Times!

WOW. Cool vid. I did not realize you had done so much to it. I know you made many videos on those mods, but seeing them all together in one vid really brings it home. That is one forever more tricked out CRF :-D It still bugs me that no motorcycle manufacturer seems to have any clue as to how to make a comfortable seat from the factory. Yammerhammer's, Zukis, Hondas, KTM's, Husqvarna's, ( and for dang sure Harley's! ) from all reviews it seems like all the factory seats suck and have to be recovered with something like Seat Concepts kit or a replacement seat. I think they are in cahoots' with the seat manufactures to boost their business !!! hahaha!!!! Anywoooooooo, , , , very interesting vid! Now you know you are going to have to do all that all over again on your son's bike right????? :-p hahaha! Have a blessed Sunday my friend!

Great looking bike you have there. I'm loving my CRF250L, she's a 2016. I just ordered new tires, Pirelli MT16 set. Sunstar 45 tooth sprocket and chain. I'm hoping that will give me a better trial gear, than the 40 tooth that came on my bike. I love the DCR tail lite on your bike, so that well be next for me. If you can l let me know if I made the right sprocket size four my bike, or any recommend you would go with. Love your videos, Freddy

FWIW What a person needs to do this up grade for cheap is buy the heavy springs I would go with the heaviest then buy ONE FRICTION DISC FROM HONDA part number #22201-KYJ-902 Take out inner friction disc it is clearly smaller than the rest... take out judder spring and seat. Add friction disc to pack and rebolt. There are NO CK1313 KITS available probably because CRFs only has bought them all. But you dont need five new discs EXACTLY like the four you already have... you need one disc and springs. and yes I have done all this.;

QQQ -I am in the Philippines and have a XR150L, test rode a CRF250L yesterday and I am sure it is a better fit. I immediately noticed what sounds like a "turbo spin up whine", is that a normal engine sound or an indicator of a problem? My optimistic guess is it is normal fuel injector sound which I am not used to always having owned carbureted bikes before.

@@WOODZMAN This will sound crazy but in the Philippines they don't let you start the engine at a dealership much less do a test drive (cars or motorcycles) so comparing a new bike at a dealership is not an option either. Thus my conundrum.

@LifeMyWay007
@LifeMyWay007 2 жыл бұрын
@@WOODZMAN Damn I should have checked before I even got on it. Everything looked good to me (but that ain't saying much. I would have spotted a loose chain but not paying enough attention to see if it was too tight) the sound seemed to be coming from the engine and when I asked about it he pointed to the fuel injector which seemed reasonable, but I wanted to verify.

Haha. Are you still enjoying your African twin? Did you sell this bike the Crf250l? I have the 2014 250l, and have listened to your video recommendations while modding my bike. Your tank installation video was much help, thanks a lot for the time you put into this channel bro. With the way my bike sits now I love it. I even got saddlebags for when I take trips. Using my gps mount and plug I can pre plan and avoid all major highways for a nice ride. so far my longest trip was 400 miles in a day and four hundred miles home a couple weeks later. To be honest it wasn't a terrible time either. I grew up racing motocross so I would like to buy a more powerful lighter dual sport bike in the future that is capable of handling large jumps.I Hope to never sell the crf 250l though, I love it, and its maintenance intervals for sure. Take care Woodzman.

If you squeezed that front brake like that when you ride the bike, you would be off!

How can you praise those tyres so much when clearly they still have the little nobbles on them? You haven't ridden them yet!

+Jamie Cox lol well none of the other tires that I have had on the bike still had the nobbles on them and they was not even close to good. I have ridin dirt bikes for 38 years and I know a good tire when I see one. Thanks !

+Freddy Stone Thanks ! The CRF250L is a great bike. I put a 42 tooth rear on mine. The 45 tooth will definitely make it better for trails. If you don't do a ton of long Hwy rides, you will like it. Sunstar is the brand that I use also, good stuff. I do like the look of the DRC tail light and it's LED.
