Harris, Excellent review! With that said, I know this is going to sound a little harsh, but the key to eliminate wrinkles in cotton, is to avoid purchasing cheap quality cotton clothing. I've had to learn the hard way, not all cotton is created equal. The better quality cotton you purchase, the better the experience. I'm not recommending spending a bunch of money, but find better bang for the buck cotton products.

I hadn't considered that. I have heard of Supima cotton but I just thought it was softer to the touch, didn't consider the wrinkles.

I put a clean dry towel in the dryer. It will help dry the close faster, especially small loads.

Check your dryer. We use these and def notice a difference in drying time but not wrinkles. However, I have to go out and take the clothes out before the dryer shuts off as they are dry well before the dryer shuts off.

I dry my tie dye on the clothes line. Then put them in the dryer with FOUR dryer balls for 10 minutes. They take the stiffness out of the clothes and no wrinkles. A few things for you to consider. You need to clean the lint trap before each load. The lint will block air flow and increase drying time. So not count on your dryer to tell you when the clothes are dry. Set the timer for 30 minutes then check the clothes. Dry at 10 minute intervals until they are done. The more balls you use the more they fluff the clothes and increase air flow. I do not use dryer sheets or fabric softner. Less chemicals released in the enviorment. The clothes I sell are soft and wrinkle free. Granny @tiedyeagogo.

I really doubted they would improve anything. Thanks for letting us know what happened.

I use wool balls all the time. I like them. I cannot use dryer sheets because of the chemicals on them.

I know this is old but feel compelled. They absolutely DO work and on all fabrics... denim to shear (but no silk which shouldn't be in a dryer anyway).... you just didn't use enough of them. Read up on how they work and you'll understand. My experience has been soft, fluffy, static and wrinkle free on everything from outer wear (cotton to polyester) to thick blankets and towels. Cuts drying time too. I do use more per load than most recommend but, hey, they're cheap. The more of them, the less wrinkle-setting and static-producing friction. I use wool ones that come in six packs. These are hard times and they decrease the electric bill a bit and save dryer sheet costs. The environmental stuff is a bonus. I guess I'm taking the time to do this in the public interest. 🙂

Finally somebody with the guts to say they don't work very well. Here's a solution: Don't overpack the dryer full of wet clothes. Clean the dryer filter.

Do the dryer balls stop static cling? I use a steamer to get wrinkles out.

Not like dryer sheets do. But I have read that if you spray the dryer balls with water before throwing them into the dryer that will help to keep the clothes from over-drying and picking up the static cling that results from that.

That dryer is huge and you didn't have much in it , a normal smaller dryer loaded up takes me 3.5 hrs to dry a load, with 3 balls I did it in half the time

Have you heard of an iron? If wrinkly t-shirts bother you. Just a thought. Thanks for the video, it was helpful

Rude, and missing the point. You **can** get clothes out of the dryer without wrinkles, so why wouldn't you?
