Longtime love affair with BT Loft and Shelter. Woollen spun yarns and soft sheep breeds give me life. Okay, why haven’t I made Wool & Honey?!! Your husband is so knitworthy ! My husband just recently asked me for his first pair of knitted socks. I’m very very excited and sat to it very quickly and hurt my hand a little bit knitting on them. lol. I hope that he does the Tom Cruise slide across the hardwood floor like you do when you put on your handknit socks! Thanks for the great episode.

Oh no!! I feel like that happens so easily with socks, especially using 9" circulars (my go-to). It's so fun to knit them something you know they'll enjoy and use. He does indeed enjoy sliding around in them, though he is EXTREMELY careful with them and therefore very knitworthy!

Thanks! I get into such a sock kick in the summer, it's nice to have something small and light to work on in the warmer months.

I made 100% non superwash wool socks a few years ago and held embroidery silk with it for the heels and toes. The socks are still intact, but there are a few areas where the wool has worn thin and I can see that the silk is holding it together. I like and wear them more than my superwash socks though so I think it was worth it. Your Wool and Honey sweater is beautiful, that pattern is in my favourites and I really need to get around to making one! Thank you for the reminder of how amazing it looks 🧡

I agree, they do tend to be just a little bit more soft and comfortable on the foot, so it's worth it for as long as you can wear them!

Thank you for reviewing the Wool & Honey. I' ve had it in my Ravelry favourites since 2021 and have finally cast it on. Yourr beautiful sweater and helpful review reminded me that I had the perfect yarn in stash and we're away. The honeycomb stitch is easier than I expected. It's lovely to find a new KZbin knitting podcast to watch and I am sure you will soon have many thouands of subscribers. New suscriber here!

Lac is an insect, from which lacquer is made. The red dye is taken out to make lacquer. So both of your colours are dyed with lac, just at different strengths. 😊

This orange sweater makes me thing you’re an autumn and not a winter! However it’s hard to say and in the six palette system I think you’d be dark and soft…. So probably why you look good in muted colors

I have used wooly nylon that is used for serging seams with a strand of fingering sock yarn. On the foot it feels slick, and I didn't like it. My socks wear out on the ball of the foot, not the heel. The wooly knit yarn comes in lots of colors, and it was fine to knit with. Probably be fine just to use for a heel. Now I stay away from merino for socks.

What nylor thread did you use?? Sounds like a nice solution to this problem. I know filcolanas arwetta has in the skein a nylon thread in the same color and I wanted to try that "technique" since. ☺

I just used some Singer nylon thread that I picked up at my LYS, but I have always wanted to try one of those sock yarns that comes with the matching nylon, such a great idea!
