I just bought this for my 2018 R1. My dyno tuner suggested this. Plus my Austin Racing Exhaust, block off plates, and k&n. Rear sets, servo buddy, dyno tune with this software then Bam!!!! Maybe 197 to the wheel..... got Ohlins Steering Damper too. But I’m only at 432 miles and taking it easy until 600 mile engine service with Yamalube factory synthetic oil. Not shifting above 6,000rpm. Then after the oil change I’ll take up to 7,800 rpm until 1,000 miles. I’ll then change the oil again but with Amsoil Metric Synthetic Oil 15w-50, then she will be ready for the dyno!!! I can’t wait!!

If I purchase your kit for an 2024 mt-09sp would I need a dyno to tune it, or could I tune via data logging on the street or track? I'm looking to tune the bike to a aftermarket airbox and exhaust because I want a nice sounding bike with no dips in the power curve in the mid range rpm zone typically used on the street. I'd also like to play with my preferred AFR to find that balance between MPG and power curve smoothness.

The supported products for this model are shown on the page here: www.woolichracing.com.au/products/honda/cbr1000rr/2023/2023-honda-cbr1000rr-ecu-flashing.aspx#productTable The tuning package with the wideband O2 sensor is shown below, this will allow tuning based on air-fuel-ratio (AFR) with the bike EITHER on a dyno or after collecting data while riding on road or track. www.woolichracing.com.au/products/honda/cbr1000rr/2023/851/2017-2024-cbr1000rr-log-box-k-v3-zeitronix-zt-3-wideband-package.aspx The Log Box K v3 collects Engine Data including AFR from the installed wideband O2 sensor, this data is saved to an SD card on the device. After you have ridden the bike you can plug the Log Box into your coputer running the WRT software and then analyse the AFR values for various RPM/TPS etc. These values are compared with target AFR values and the WRT software proposes changes to fuelling in order to achieve the desired AFR. If you accept the proposed changes, they then need to be written to the ECU and you can collect data again. This process might be done 2-3 times in order to get the best performance, the results however are directly applicable to your specific bike so much better than selecting a tune that has worked for someone else. @WoolichRacing4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for getting in touch! The K7 GSX-R 1000 is free to tune in the software. You can absolutely adjust the fuel maps via AutoTune without a dyno using real-world data (and remove after you are happy with the maps - don't have to keep the components on the bike like the PC5). You can also open up the STP maps earlier. If you wanted to adjust ignition timing I would however suggest taking to a dyno as they will be able to test in a safe environment while making adjustments.

What about air pressure increase on high speeds inside airbox? You don't get that at a dino so your map will be lean on high speeds on the road, wouldn't it?
@WoolichRacing4 жыл бұрын
This will only apply to bikes that use a ram-air intake. If your bike uses ram-air and does not have an extra ram air map that can be disabled in our Advanced Settings (which compensates with extra fuel at high speeds on top of the normal map), then if you didn't adjust your target AFR then it would result in it running leaner in real-world conditions. A good, experienced dyno tuner in this case would also know that they would have to manually compensate by setting a richer mixture on the dyno to compensate for the extra ram air when running at these higher speeds.
@hrsjohnny4 жыл бұрын
@@WoolichRacing i was thinking every sport bike was using the ram air effect. Because of MAP sensor presence. So dino tuner shoud take ram air into account and compensate. Unless there is an separate ram air map in the ecu. Thanks for the response

Is it possible to tune bike on a eddy current dyno just with on bike harness without autotune? Thank you!
@WoolichRacing3 жыл бұрын
Yes, providing the EC Dyno can simulate the same conditions as a normal dyno, and is of the 'rolling road' design, there should be no reason you can't use an EC Dyno to load the engine under different TPS settings, and at a range of RPMs, to fully tune it using the Woolich Autotune feature. The EC dyno just uses eddy currents instead of water or oil, to load/brake/hold the speed you are testing at. Also to note, is that EC dynos usually have a lower top speed testing capability than a standard dyno.

only works in dyno? Can it be used on track in real time?
@WoolichRacing6 жыл бұрын
There's AutoTune (suited to track) and AutoTune Live (suited to dyno). The only models that you can use with AutoTune Live and NOT for AutoTune at the track, are R1 07-14 and R6 06-16 (as TOS has to be disabled for data). Hope that helps.

Does the 02 sensor stay on the bike, or is it just for tuning?
@WoolichRacing2 жыл бұрын
The Wideband O2 sensor supplied in the ZT3 Kits can be left on the bike after tuning if you are Datalogging on the Track, or gathering more logs for Autotune. Leaving it fitted, and constantly in use can decrease the life expectancy of the sensor. It does also depend on how harshly it is treated, (overheated/sooted up with carbon, etc). Once you are finished tuning, you can remove the Wideband O2 sensor, and block the bung hole with a bung-bolt (see products listings on website). Store the sensor in a dry place until needed again. This will prolong the life expectancy of the sensor, and it can be easily fitted back if you need to retune after further upgrades.

Is it useless to buy your system without buying autotune if I want to install everything myself and have no access to a dyno machine?
@WoolichRacing3 жыл бұрын
Hi Joseph, To tune your bike, you need some way of reading the Air/Fuel Ratio (AFR) that is coming out the exhaust of your bike. This lets you know if your engine is rich, or lean, or running correctly. If you purchase the USB Kit (without the wideband AFR unit) you still need some way to check the AFR, and this is usually done by the dyno equipment at a dyno tuning shop. If you don't have access to a dyno then you can only tune it by 'feel' and unless you are an experienced tuner then you will not have that 'seat-of-the-pants' experience. This is why we recommend that the USB tuning kit is used in conjunction with a dyno, so you can flash the ECU, test and measure the AFR on the dyno, and then change the settings based on readings. If you do not have access to a dyno, you still need some way to read the AFR so you can tune your bike. This is where the Logbox + ZT-3 wideband unit comes in. The ZT-3 reads the AFR and the Logbox records that data along with the Engine data. This data is then used in the software to calculate the changes needed to reach the target AFR that you have set in the software. If you do not have access to a dyno, then we would recommend using the 'Logbox + ZT-3" package. Regards, Woolich Racing.

Hello on what gear do you run to map the tps and iap??
@WoolichRacing2 жыл бұрын
Typically, tuners will log or autotune live using 4th gear, which allows you to load up the engine and reach maximum RPM without having to do 300kph on the dyno or the road. When going to the 'AutoTuned Map' tab, the map created will use the AFR data from the selected gear. If no gear is chosen, then the map is created from AFR data collected from all gears. If gear 4 is chosen for example, then the AutoTuned map is created specifically using AFR data collected from gear 4 only.
