Nothing better than reading a book (actual hard covered book) in the evening along with a mug of tea. There is something about holding book and turning the pages.

I have ripped out almost finished sweaters a few times because they weren’t bringing me joy. As you always say Jana, you’re the boss of your knitting 😊

I love your sweater, the upper part to the line you indicated you would rip back to. Enjoying the Wooly Winter Countdown.

The yoke of your sweater is amazing - I can’t wait to see what you decide to do! I enjoyed hearing about your upcoming classes. I’m a middle school principal - we all (staff, students and families) need that social media course. It’s changed our work so much, and often not for the better.

It’s such a beautiful yoke, it would be a shame not to finish it and enjoy it, but I agree, rip back to the purples and pinks.

Fun socks! I love the bright colors. My feet are the only place I feel like I can go wild with colors. Excellent conversation about your classes. Your interests are fascinating. My daughter got her undergraduate degree in World Religions and for her Masters degree she focused on Cultural Anthropology, Arts Administration and Public Folklore. You are the boss of your education😆.

OHHH Ripley - that face!! Soo cute - puppies are the best (and worst). I'm like a squirrel when it comes to dogs -- were you two there today? tee hee...OMG I'm on body island and thinking the same thing -- but damned at this point to finish it just to see it through as I've never finished a top before and want to see how it fits. How funny that I love your color gradient - but I get the green part looking different - mine is more about the yolk brightness on mine -- too much like a bib. Ouch on process mentality (zing Anne)🥰 College has gotten so much better with adult education -- as a long-time online teacher - I love my adult students coming in with experience and genuine interest in the topic!!

Janna if you have enough yarn, I would rip out and take the greens out. And go to the navy’s. Or just do a solid color you like

Your phone discussion was very interesting. Yesterday I went to a presentation and the speaker said that concentration has declined as well as people being less involved with others on a personal level. It is sad when you see toddlers watching games on a phone, parents on their phone and no-one interacting.

Jana, I think you should borrow Ripley to do what his name says: "Rip" out the colors you want to change on your sweater! Ripley is absolutely adorable 💕! Anne, the OIFF was amazing; was it twice or thrice that you did it? What a lot of work you did for it! Thank you to both if you for another great episode!

Thanks, Lynn! It was 3 times but I think the third one suffered a bit due to all of us being able to leave our homes again, which was a great problem to have!

Hi Jana, just wanted to say that I went to Shetland Wool Week this year for the first time. It was magical, and I didn't think it was crowded. We left on the day of the Makers Market, so I can't comment about that. You'll have to go sometime. It's wonderful.
7 күн бұрын
In 2019, the makers market was PURE INSANITY, but post-pandemic, it has been more in line with a typical fiber festival marketplace as far as crowding. I’m not sure what was up with the 2019 group. It might be that more people are selling during the week now so the market isn’t quite the one-stop-shop it was for so many of the things in 2019.

That jumper is stunning but I do agree that the lower part isn't quite doing it. I'd definitely rip back and try and find a better purple match because the top is too lovely to lose. 😅

Regarding my quill tee, I ripped mine out all the way to the beginning because I did not like the needle sizes that were recommended so I went down two needle sizes for everything and I went up to clothing sizes and now I like the fabric of the sweater I’m only halfway through the yolks this time, but I’m liking the whole thing so much betterI’ll finish it when I finish it.

Hello. Ripley is so cute. Jana, I have had this issue of knitting and not liking what I knit. I can tell that you don't like it, rip out. I love that you both are taking classes! So where is Shetland? What is the knit item that Anne is revealing each color for? Thank you for your videos!!!❤❤❤
@PurlTogether2 күн бұрын
Shetland is an island north of the Scottish mainland. Anne is knitting the project that came with a countdown yarn box that she curated and sold as pre-orders earlier in the year, The Shetland Hogmanay Box.

Jana - can you overdye the sweater? That might be an option.

Enjoying your Vlogmas episodes. I like your sweater to the area of the light purple, before the green. What if you matched that shade and continued with that, or shaded it to a darker blue, similar to the top....just a few thoughts.

Did I miss Anne opening her second yarn cake? I loved listening to the conversation about college. I was very much like Jana, I wasn't sure of my major. I really went to the campus to meet a teacher from another remote college. I saw the building he was in so I just declared a major that was comparable and it suited me well. I would love to get my Masters degree, in Social Work, but I am almost 70.I would not have much time to put what I would learn to use.

Jana I totally get were your coming from if you don’t like the color of your sweater I would take it out! Lol also what type of wool are you using for the socks? I definitely would rather use sock yarn that holds up! One of my grandson wants my knit socks for his birthday and Christmas but he blows the heels out! Thanks for the video this morning!

And websites will tell you at the top of the article how many minutes it takes to read the article. What's up with that? Like we have a limit of how long we can spend reading something that we're obviously interested in or we wouldn't have clicked on the title. But oooh 6 minutes? too long. Buh bye. /TLDR
