It’s so weird seeing this programming, because it was once such an everyday part of our lives but now it’s become extinct.

That's very true, and is the same way with many other things, TV and otherwise. I recently turned 52, but I often feel more like 152, with how much TV (and pop culture in general) has changed since the 1980s/90s. Seems like things have a shorter shelf life today, and are generally more quickly forgotten and/or ignored, unless you go looking for (or stumble upon) stuff like this on KZbin.

And since (W)WOR was a superstation, those Crazy Eddie commercials were also seen nationwide (even though they had their own electronics superstores).
