I cant stand when people go for full shields or defense blasters. But all lasers? That audacious, but not annoying as it has a few weak spots.

All Lasers has clearly been shown to be a viable strategy, but we also saw other players using some sort of short range "lightsaber" defensive tech that could hard counter it. If someone noticed Jon going All Laser early enough and recognized the implications, they could potentially set up enough coverage to be deflecting some, if not all of the lasers, potentially directly back at Jon. If every salvo you fire is doing as much or more damage to you as it does to your target, you'll be forced to adapt and swap out to something else (clearly there is a lot more in this game than just lasers) or perish.

This is a pretty interesting approach. They went hard(ish) sci fi with the first in a semi 3d environment then refined the game down into a really exciting real time game. Well done.

The planet of Jon thrived in the aftermath of the Great Solar System War. The war had taken less than 10 days (rotation of his planet was 2 minutes and 57 seconds, so a full solar day had passed). It was an aggressive strategy, a planet built with lasers. The world was worried when the core came close to exposure and debated on colonization. Jon was a capable commander and ensured the world that lasers are the answer to everything. Billions have died... We saw how dire the situation was the moment the whole planet was covered in lasers. It was both our offensive and defensive strategies. It was a very bold move, but in the end we live... 2 planets left in the Solar System. The other planet has not taken much damage but we were told the moon is in very critical shape and one hit will do. Now the debate runs; do we move?

Can we talk about what a "galaxy" is? MAybe have a brief look into Elite Dangerous. Not a perfect game but it shows you a "galaxy". On a sidenote: the ability to move your planet around like a car is bullshit that kills the whole point of the game.
