Using the plastic key to repressurise your Worcester boiler is annoying and can be very difficult, even for a heating engineer, but it has to be done on certain Worcester boilers.
Close the tap fully when you've reached 1 to 1.5 bar on the pressure gauge.

If your boiler keeps losing pressure, you have a problem with your boiler or heating system that needs to be fixed. Most commonly it's because of a leak.

Had this issue on our old 24cdi where the pressure was always bottomed out all the time. It would have to put the correct pressure into the boiler before trying to start. Once it was running it would work ok but it would just build up more and more pressure the longer the boiler ran. In the end the boiler would immediately send the pressure all the way up causing the boiler to bang and pop. We had the entire boiler replaced by a new one

Sounds like an expansion vessel problem with the pressure keep rising but possibly other problems causing it to bang, replacing the boiler was probably a good decision

I have the same boiler and just had a new radiator fitted. Since then the pressure keeps dropping. I can not see any leaks. Any idea where the pressure may be going? Thanks

The pressure relief valve might be letting water outside or there could be a leak on the radiator pipes under the floor.

yeah its not uncommon, as long as it's not dripping when you're finished it's fine

I have this exact system but when I insert the plastic key all the way in and turn to the lock position, when I turn on the plastic tap to let water into the boiler, water just drips down from the keyhole, what am I doing wrong? Also my key doesn’t make any clicking noise when I turn to lock position, key just spins round 360 degrees

Sounds like you might not be pushing the key in far enough, they can be really tricky and annoying, even for full time heating engineers.

@@robertquadling7283 No, it's recommended but it doesn't have to be. You won't know the true pressure until the system is cold though as the pressure rises when the heating is on.

Get a new carbon monoxide alarm asap. Don't use any gas appliances until you do
