Hi Professor Adam Morgan, would like to know how to generate information in "header" in table of content? Many thanks.
@debraestrada60754 жыл бұрын
Can you have a tutorial on inserting a TOC with a Word document that consist of a table with repeat headings. When I highlight a title in the first column and select Heading 1, the repeat heading is separated from the table and is place on another page.
@ProfessorAdamMorgan4 жыл бұрын
Hi Debra, This is a good idea for a future video. Unfortunately, I am way behind on video production right now, but I will get to this. For now, I recommend probably customizing your TOC and manually entering in data. Section splits can be really tough in Word and can mess up your TOC more than you'd expect. I hope this points you in the right direction.

Hey Adam, Watched your video. Which was very helpful. I Creating a Table of Contents in Word 2016 for Mac. I created Chapters and Sections. Looks great. But than i wanted to add some new Chapters and Sections. Each time I try to do this my table of contents changes. By adding a summary of whatever I've written within a chapter or that section. HOW CAN I AVOID from happening?
@ProfessorAdamMorgan6 жыл бұрын
Hey David, I'm glad the video was helpful for you. One option you can do to fix this is by converting your Table of Contents to plain text. The easiest way to do this is to highlight your Table of Contents, then delete it, then paste it back in using the values only paste option. Then your Table of Contents will no longer be linked to anything in your document, therefore it will not update. Hope this helps you out.

Hello, I've just discovered your videos and I'm watching lots of them as they are really good stuff ;) I have a question about this video: if you see at 0:48 when the word OVERVIEW is highlighted, we can see a small triangle appearing on the left that lets you hide what's in the OVERVIEW paragraph. I would like to know what's that small triangle called and how you make them. Thanks
@ProfessorAdamMorgan5 жыл бұрын
Hi Gabriele, I'm happy to hear you're enjoying my content, thank you for watching. To view the triangle (expand/collapse text option) you will need to open your Navigation Pane. Go to the View tab and in the Show group, click the box for Navigation Pane. Keep in mind, you will need for format your text with a Heading Style in order to be able to use these options for expanding and collapsing text. I hope this helps you!

Great tutorial on Microsoft word 2016 regretfully it is different in Microsoft word 365 is there any chance you can post a tutorial for Microsoft Word 365 and it would be really cool if you slow down just a little. The references we were going to are different and 365 versus 2016. Keep up the great job you're on point in time.

Hi Lee, Absolutely, I can make a video on this. I am going to start creating my Word 2019/365 playlist in a few weeks. Until then, here is a link to the Office 365 Table of Contents page. It should be able to get you by until I make the video. Thank you for the suggestions and for watching this video: support.office.com/en-us/article/insert-a-table-of-contents-882e8564-0edb-435e-84b5-1d8552ccf0c0

Good video. how do you modify an existing table ...move heading 2 farther to the right?
@ProfessorAdamMorgan6 жыл бұрын
Thanks norm. You could highlight that heading then go to the Home Tab and look in the bottom right section of the Paragraph group. Launch the paragraph dialog box launcher and increase the indent. That should help move it to the right.

@ProfessorAdamMorgan6 жыл бұрын
Hi Stanzin, Yes, you need to change the theme colors in order to change the color of the cover page. The color of the cover page is linked to the theme, so if you change that, it will change the theme color: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qaXLl6KiZbablZI

professor i am serious help me out of this trauma. i have no idea where to start it off and and where to end it up. i have to offer a thesis to university in order to get my BS Literature degree. my writing skill is as slow as tortoise . My topic is : the concept of nature in the poetry of Robert Frost and WordsWorth. ...please do some thing for me ....

That sounds awful. Why would you get a Lit degree if you're a slow writer? Regardless, you need to handle this on your own. I'm sure you'll feel accomplished when you're done.
